I visited the Two Brothers Cafe with my father recently and both the food and service was impeccable.
I ordered a grilled blueberry muffin for a starter, and had a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on an Everything Bagel with a side of hashbrowns.
The food was phenomenal. The bacon was cooked to utter perfection, it was perfectly crisp with just enough chew in the center(You can bite through it without the entire bacon slice coming out), the eggs were fluffy and well seasoned, and the bagel was also perfection. A light crisp toasted side, the insides were soft and fluffy with a slight chew.
The hasbrowns were well seasoned. They had a slight crispiness to them, and when you bite into them, that soft and fluffy mashed potato center is something that makes my mouth water just remembering the meal I had.
The price was reasonable(My entire meal cost about 15 bucks, a rarity these days) compared to the generous portion size.
Finally, their bathrooms were clean. Having done both janitorial work, as well as FOH and BOH restaurant work throughout the years, a clean bathroom(especially during a rush, they were very busy and it's no question as to why) is a great indicator of the cleanliness standards of the kitchen.
All-in-all, this place is a stellar restaurant, one I would recommend to all of my friends and family. The food was phenomenal, and the customer service was excellent. Our server was incredibly polite and friendly and brightened the experience. I am sorry to say that I don't remember her name(I'm bad with names), because she definitely deserves a raise.
10/10 Would eat there every...
Read moreA must try place in Connecticut. Walk in, be greeted with a smile, warm welcome and the smell of home cooked food made with love. Sit down and enjoy the morning buzz or afternoon chatter, Two Brothers is bound to please, and inspire a cheerful day. Servers are attentive, and the restaurant looks incredibly well maintained by manager and owner, Sami, who you will see working hard to keep the restaurant moving very smoothly as well as being attentive to customers and feedback. Eugene is the chef of Two Bros, and his food makes this a must-stop place in Connecticut. His standards are high for his work and the dishes he ends up sending out of the kitchen are delectable. Take a second out of your day, stop and be present, in a beautiful cafe, as you taste delish food that you surely will savor. Do so in the great company and atmosphere of Two Brothers living their dream and giving back into the community. If you’re not able to stop and sit, they offer to go. Cooking up some of the best breakfasts, lunches and even pop up events/dinners, Two Brothers Cafe is my new favorite breakfast spot in Connecticut. I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Waffles for breakfast and was met with a warm fluffy waffle, fresh strawberries, and strawberry syrup drizzle, whipped cream and… chunks of cheesecake right on the waffle. Best breakfast, service, atmosphere and care I’ve seen. Add this to your list of amazing restaurants to enjoy! You...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. This restaurant is the best thing that has happened to East Hampton. The owners, Eugene and Sam, are the friendliest people you will ever meet. Always in a good mood, cracking jokes and chatting about. They always treat their customers with the upmost respect and devoted attention.
The food is on another level. The regular menu is your typical breakfast/lunch, with breakfast sandwiches, omelets, pancakes, waffles, home fries, burgers, sandwiches, Açaí bowls, smoothies, etc... All made fresh with pride and quality that keeps me coming back multiple times a week and more. The coffee is the best around; always fresh and hot. They use Cafe Bustelo which has deep and rich flavors, that make a great "cup of joe". Their iced coffee is also a popular choice among diners as well.
What is truly unique about Two Brothers, and what sets this place apart from everyone else around, are the weekly specials and occasional Pop-Up dinners. They bring a lot of diversity and flare into their specials by combining Latin flavors with traditional American cuisine. The result are meals that aren't anything like it around in this neck of the woods - From Cuban sandwiches to tacos, custom wraps, Spanish rice, pernil, chimichurri steaks, etc... you name it, and they will probably add it to the menu. I just can't say enough about Two Brothers Cafe. You have to come and try it...
