The lady who helped us was very pleasant so this review has nothing to do with the staff. The dining area was nice and clean but thats were the positives end! The food that we actually got was good but unfortunately there wasn't enough to even enjoy it. My sandwich had like 2 slices of prosciutto and two very small pieces of fresh mozzarella. My wife had a small bowl of pasta fagioli which was good but again very small portion. We were charged 7 DOLLARS for two small plastic juice tumblers of seltzer and 3.50 for a plain slice of pizza. The slice of pizza was the only thing that wasn't good, it tasted like it was out for days and dried up. To sum it up, food is good but portions way to small and prices are ridiculous.
Follow up on March 3, 2025 to original review. Thank you for your quick response. Just to clarify a few things, first thing is yes I am from this area, within minutes of your place actually. And yes prices have went up for sure, but we as the consumer make up the increase plus some as you know. We were in the pizza business for over 40 years. We were on Broome st in Manhattan, on the boardwalk in seaside heights as well as two shops in northern NJ so we are very familiar with how things work. So when you say the beverage prices are par for the area I beg to differ. When you purchase a bottle of seltzer yes perhaps but fountain carbonated water in plastic tumblers is a whole different thing. But a the end of the day your place is clean, you have pleasant staff and even the best hitters strike out so maybe it was a bad day so I will be back to give it...
Read moreCan I give 0 stars? I am on vacation and decided to order pizza from this place because there menu has a nice selection. Well there were some issues with my card being put on hold due to me being out of state. They then called me back and was so nasty as if I planned for this to happen. I told him to give me a few minutes to sort this mishap out and got "we are really busy you ordered the food you need to pay for it" I apologized for the inconvenience and said I need to contact my card it should not have declined. He didn't want to wait for me to do so and since that was my form of payment I said well I'm not going to take the food then. To that I got "you either pay for the food or we call the police" at this point I'm annoyed because it's 8 o'clock my cards on hold and I have some punk kid talking to me like I'm some degenerate trying to scam free food. I repeated that I'm not going to take the food and to this the response was hand to god "Don't you think that's a scumbag thing to do Order food and then not pay for it?" To that I said don't you think that's a scumbag thing to do talking to a customer like that? My intent was never to not pay for the pizza but if you won't let me fix the issue I can't do anything about it and to talk to someone like that... I won't spend my money here not with the attitude they have. The owner or manager should give a refresher course on...
Read moreI order from this place every Sunday. Today, the guy on the phone got my order completely wrong. He asked me to repeat it 3 times. After the 3rd time, I asked "You sure you got that?" He said yes. When the delivery guy came, not only was I missing the 2 extra slices, the pie was completely wrong. I gave the delivery boy the money with a good tip because I know it wasn't his fault. I drove to the pizzeria with the pie and told him that it was wrong and I was missing the 2 extra slices. The guy was nice and said ok and he'll fix it. After they corrected the order, the guy that got the order wrong wanted to charge me $3 for the 2 extra slices. I asked him if he's really going to charge me, he said yes. I told him that I had to drive over there because he got the order wrong and I shouldn't have to pay. He said that if I don't pay, he'll need to take the 2 slices back or he'll call the police.
So this place just lost a weekly customer over...
