UPDATE My husband ordered from them 3 months ago not realizing the we previously had a bad experience when the new owner took over the space. Anyways to make a long story short we have ordered 3 times since. The food is much better and staff is very nice. We do pick up though so I can't speak to the delivery but I believe some staff is no longer there as I haven't encountered the young lady or seen the driver since. One item that is much better quality than the other restaurants in this area are the salads. Most garden salads I get atound here are iceberg, a couple tomatoes, 2 olives and a couple pieces of cucumber. Gia Marie's salad are so much better due to the contents of salads. Another note is we don't get pizza, we buy apps, calzones and dinners.
OLD REVIEW Wasn't blown away by the food the 1st or 2nd time but it was decent. However they have a great salad verse other pizza places in the area. We always pick up since we have young children, don't want the extra delay. Didn't feel like going back out so asked the female who answered the phone what the time difference for delivery. 10 mins was her response so I provided my order & address. Waited the hour, waited another 30 mins seeing it was Friday. Called to be told our food was ready at 6:50 & put in as a pick-up. Mind you it is now 7:40. I was told we will bring it now, no apology. I said wait so it's been sitting there for almost an hour? Yeah but we have a fridge instead of it being cold it's hot. In shock I said fine & hung up. It took about a min to register with me that the dinner and pizza would be dried out or soggy. I immediately called back, told the girl I did not want the food after it had been sitting there. Then same girl that just told me our food was ready an hour prior states your pizza just came out 5 mins ago which in turn I called her out on. So here's my issues. Obviously the management is not up to par since they didn't realize an order was sitting there so long, the proper response should have been we will make you order over then rush it to you & my biggest problem is the dishonesty. I am understanding of errors, we are human but I will never order from this place again because integrity is...
Read moreI usually go to this place and enjoy me some fresh hot slices of pizza all the time however today when I went I got there around 11:50 they wasn’t open yet. They open up at 12 so at 12 when I went in I asked The Lady for five slices, three sausage two pepperoni And I noticed that they had all these old pies from yesterday inside the glass thing. Nothing there was fresh Lee made everything had slices taken out of it already so you can tell it was from yesterday because if it was from today, it would’ve been whole pies. And remember I was the first one there no one was there. I got there at 11:50 AM It wasn’t it was all half pies so you can tell it was from yesterday so however when I got home as I was eating it, you can tell it wasn’t fresh and it didn’t taste as good. I spent $15 on five slices from the day before nasty and I’m surprised that they even do that, if you have any pies left over from the night before give them away or throw them away make fresh pies to start your day off with. Just nasty. Also I noticed that no one washes their hands. If you notice the lady, she answers the phone she grabs the slices with her hands after touching money because she rings up the customers answers the phone put slices in the oven with the same hands that she touch the money with just nasty. I love this place, but however, those two little gestures will make this place. The bomb have gloves wash him more and don’t use leftover pizza to give people slices from the night before, and...
Read moreI use to order from here often but after covid, they stopped delivering inside my apartment building. To me, if you must get dressed, take an elevator and go outside, it's not really delivery. Since then, most restaurants have come back into the building. Now I'd rather a pie from Gia Maria's than Capotortos (which has, since, been my goto), especially since it's just as good a pie and it's less money, but I'd much rather pay extra to get it at my door. Sometimes much extra. I think Gia Maria's made an arbitrary decision that hurts their drivers. So now I say keep the change on an 18 dollar pie from a 20 dollar bill, but would rather say thanks for bringing it to my door. Here's 25 bucks. Keep the change. It, actually, comes out about the same. Several of my neighbors feel as I do although, I admit, most don't tip the way I do, or pay for Capotortos, so they get pizza from a less desirable place. C'mon, Gia Maria. Rescind that rule and allow your drivers to earn more without being shackled. And let me enjoy your wonderful...
