Mr Sticky's Homemade Sticky Buns — Restaurant in East Lampeter Township

6:30am open, arrived at 6:45am, and 1/2 a dozen walnut available or one sticky bun, that's it, they said they were busy making orders and there would be nothing else available. I said I would take the 1/2 dozen walnut and then decided it's one roll, I'll take that too. They would not let me – one or the other.

1. If you're that busy with pre-orders and you are not able to produce enough to be open for more than 15-minutes, change your system/process and only take pre-orders for holidays. It would be a much better experience for people. At the very least when you know you will not have anything available for walk-ins, update your online hours to closed so people know not to make the drive.

2. I think I get the intent; "save something for the next customer who didn't pre-order". But, let me break it to you, from someone who drove 30-minutes in the snow, to be able to buy a single roll will not make a person happy. And by only allowing me to buy one or the other, well, you certainly didn't make me happy.

We bought 6 cinnamon buns and while they were good the customer service was atrocious. When we walked up to the window it took a good 5 minutes before anyone came to the window, the older lady working opens the window takes our order, we were in the middle of a sentence talking to her and she shuts the window. While waiting we realized a sign saying to pre order in advance so after a few minutes she opens the window to hand me the food and I apologized for not pre ordering we looked on the website prior because we know they sell well for the holidays but since were 3 weeks away from Christmas I thought we would be alright. The lady said very rude she is not taking orders over a dozen due to being short staffed and then closes the window….. My wife and I love Lancaster County and it's peaceful road stands and off the beat and path shops. We travel over 2 hours one way to get there and the first stop we make is Mr. Sticky's. We have been visiting this location even before they renovated it. We stopped by just most recently on Saturday 4/15. The lady who works the window was the same that served us a few weeks ago. She is so friendly, efficient and is a joy to the customers.

Let's talk about the Stickies though. Out standard order is 2 original stickies, one maple icing, one vanilla icing, one local milk and a coffee. These are the best sticky buns I have ever had.
