While driving home, I decided that I was craving some Tacos! Found this little gem and decided to check it out. Located in the busy downtown district on Whitter, it is often buzzing with activity!

They specialize in seafood, such as fish/shrimp tacos, ceviche, fried fish, cocktails and more! If you aren’t a seafood eating fiend, they also offer land food as well! The $1 taco specials on Wednesday is definitely something you should take advantage of, because it is delicious!

I stared at the menu and decided to try a little bit of everything. Unknowingly, I accidentally ordered a full plate and was taken aback by the monstrous portion of food I ordered. I didn’t expect the taco to be as big as it was. It was brimming with shrimp and a nice portion of fish. It was well seasoned and the batter was not too oily. The ceviche was also larger than I expected it to be. I would have been happy with those two meals, but I just love quesadillas and had to have a taste! For being a restaurant with a focus on seafood, they do a really delicious asada! The quesadilla was filled with delicious cheese and tender beef!

The food here was not only wonderful, but affordable as well! Would definitely recommend an order of their baja taco to all first timers (especially on...

I visited Taco Baja on a Friday evening and the line was to the door as we pulled into the parking lot. By the time we parked, got out of the car and approached the back of the line it was out the door and 10 yards down the sidewalk. Some people might find that annoying but I see it as sign that the food is good enough to make these people wait in this lengthy line. The line went surprisingly quick. My dad and I placed our order and proceeded to the patio. Thus was a bit chaotic. There was hot sauce spilled on the floor but after about 10 -15 minutes we gathered our order and maneuvered around the spilled hot sauce, making it safely back to our car. I was worried about the order being correct considering how quickly they took and filled the order but we were pleasantly surprised to find our entire order was perfect. I ordered shrimp tacos with a side of beans. The shrimp tacos were good. The shrimp was breaded and fried, golden. Each taco had about 5 medium sized shrimp, a liberal amount of cabbage and a light creamy sauce. Wrapped in 2 corn tortillas. The beans were decent. Not the best beans I've ever had but not the worst. They could have used a little salt but it was an easy fix. I understand why some places go easy...

Normally I would give more stars... but tonight, 3 stars is for the service... we use to come here all the time. Tonight was the first time in a while that we came back. Food was great But geez... let's say it was after 7pm(not exactly sure) and my dad ordered and paid, I was sitting at a table by myself and my dad was sitting at a table alone closet to cashier. There was a few other tables with people inside and more outside. All of a sudden this worker comes and starts putting up tables and chairs and practically yelling in Spanish"we're closed". The other people inside were still eating their food. I didn't move right away, but then he came back saying it again. He had the nastiest look on his face. My dad and I both had our masks on. So I know that wasn't the problem. But I got up and went to stand by my dad. Worker now yelling at people walking in to order "we're closed" Customers who were outside eating, tried to come inside to get something... even they were yelled at.

You just don't do that. You don't throw people out who are in the middle of a meal, let alone those waiting for their food. The cashier didn't say anything to my dad when he placed his order, if they were closing in 20 mins or...

Some of the best tacos I have had! You must get the tacos de papa (potato filled tacos)! I would go back just for these potato tacos. They were the best!! Their salsa were the right kind of spicy hot and so good! They give you a cooked pepper with your entree and it’s delicious and spicy. If you like heat, try the cooked pepper. We had the tacos Al pastor and the Carne asada tacos and both were sooooo flavorful and authentic. We each got 4-5 tacos and it was ample food portions. Just because it a Baja spot, which implies fish taco place, they stilllll had such good carne tacos!! Done be fooled, everything was soooo good! Currently they don’t have any indoor seating but there are tables outside you can sit at. We got our food to go, and it was stilllll so good by the time we got back home.

These tacos are bomb, da bomb, bomb diggity, fire, lit, whatever age you are and you want to call it. The batter is so light, crispy, and delicious 🤤. The shrimp bowl is also very good and their salsa roja is super tasty. The chiles toreados and pickled onion make a great compliment with your meal and you can grab as many as you wish, and believe me you cant6eat just two chiles. It's pretty affordable compared to other places and the dining area inside is pretty small but you can also sit outside. I highly recommend you come here, I wanted to eat one of everything but I can only eat two tacos lol. Next time I'll try the fish and chips which also looked so darn good 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Huge fish tacos for less than $2! This place is the place to go for fish tacos in East Los Angeles. Batter is delicious and they put tons of fresh cabbage and tomatoes on top. Juicy seafood, tastes super fresh. Known for their fish burritos and tostadas too. Eat here or to go. Plenty of seating available, great place for families. No alcohol. They have sodas and traditional Mexican drinks like Horchata and Jamaica. For side peppers they had whole jalapeños. On Wednesday, the lines are worth their $1 tacos. Bring cash.
