If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I went to Dunkin Donuts at 255 Tremont Ave, East Orange, NJ, on 1/14/25, and the hassle was unbelievable. I’ve accumulated over 1000 points and I was just trying to treat my fiancée and myself to some coffee. We went through the drive-thru only to find out my fiancée’s coffee couldn’t be paid for with points, so we had to use cash. Fine, whatever. Not the end of the world, not a big deal. Then I asked the woman at the drive-thru about the iced coffee options I could redeem with my points and she seemed completely clueless. Instead of saying she couldn’t help me because she's new. I don't know how to use the points; I should come back tomorrow when someone is capable of helping me. She just tells me to pick a drink and drive up. I ordered a large lava cake iced latte that we paid for and wanted to use the 500 points for a large toasted white chocolate iced coffee. But because she didn’t know how to process the points I ended up ordering a medium original blend iced coffee instead. With how she was talking and how the message was received. It sounded like we were going to swap drinks at the window but because of her incompetence. I wasted 500 points on a drink I didn’t even want. Because she couldn’t do her job properly! If she didn’t know how to handle the points, she could have just said something like, “I’m sorry, I can't help you with this right now.” Instead, she misled me completely! Now I’m irritated about losing my points, especially considering how much time and effort it takes to accumulate them. I want my 500 points back plain and simple! I’ve put a lot of work and money into earning those points (10 points per $1 spent). It is ridiculous! I genuinely hope someone can fix this because this experience was absolutely beyond frustrating. We spent a good 10-15 minutes sitting at the window going back and forth with me explaining. It really got irritating when I asked her to put whipped cream on top of the coffee. Most of the coffees come with whipped cream. She started to get an attitude and proceeded to tell me I had to pay for it. The Manager needs to step up and provide proper staff training. If she can't figure out how to use the points how can she possibly remember the different coffee recipes? It’s a complete mess! I sent a message to Dunkin’ Donuts to see if they can resolve my 500 points, but honestly, I’m not holding my breath. Fingers crossed I get them...
Read morePlease do not bother with this cesspool of a place. I placed an order through uber only to have them call and say the don't have the items I ordered which consisted of a cold brew coffee, egg sandwich, and a coffee roll. (All reasonable things you would expect them to have but no problem at all) As a result I was asked to cancel the order (I was not even asked if I wanted to replace an item) which was very confusing because typically a restaurant can cancel the order on their end. They tried to force me to cancel the order on my end so that I would still be charged and the fee would go to them. Their number provided on google doesn't even work so I asked the uber driver to put me on the phone with them. I was greeted by a very rude woman who told me some nonsense about how they don't have an active tablet in the store so they can't cancel the order themselves and that they only receive receipts. Absolutely not. I contacted support and will be reporting them....
Read moreRecently went there. Tried inside normally if I come here I do drive thru. There was a cashier and a lady who prepared the orders. The lady who prepared the orders greeted me. What I wanted they did not have as a special but I ordered anyway. Paid for order and had to ask the cashier for my receipt.! At no point during this transaction did either one of them tell me "thank you or to "have a nice day". Won't suggest this place until they learn how to thank customers. Besides their food is not good for you anyway! The drive thru service was the same way! But lately when going with others it seems to have improved. Go elsewhere! If they cannot thank you then they really do not care if you come there or not. Thus can apply for Dunki Donuts...
