Sweet's Restaurant & Lounge formerly Mrs. G's — Restaurant in East Orange

This is an honest and Bias free review from my experience: Me and a couple of my peoples had an event here on 4/19 for a Cosplay event. Things were going okay till we ran into some issues. I was security for this event and was outside at front checking people in and the venue had they own security in the back. This guy approaches me and my brother outside trying to tell us on how to do our jobs and what instructions the owner gave him. We informed him we had things under control but this guy kept talking and getting out of pocket with his mouth as if we was children. Later on in the night when the event was over I had went in the venue to retrieve my bookbag and my bag that contained Alcohol which I NEED TO ADD WAS CLOSED AND SECURED!! NOBODY DRANK FROM IT!... This woman approaches me asking me why my bottles was clicking ( I'M GOING TO ASSUME THIS IS THE OWNERS WIFE OR WHATEVER) I inform her these was my bottles that was never open and I was taking them out the venue also stating that these bottles was for my after party. With an attitude, she tells me that those bottles was not suppose to be here and I needed to take them out which I already was doing. I stop to get myself together and fix my bag to put the bottles in and next thing I know she is dead behind me along with this goofy looking security guard trying to rush me out. Annoyed, I just leave, I turn around again, she is outside behind me again, but this time, she's talking to my sister about me having the bottles complaining. Like cmon now, why are you speaking to my sister and following me? I heard you the first time, and why you have your guard all up on me? She is very lucky I did not get crazy because her security guard would of been on the floor with blood coming out of his mouth. I do not play those type of games and that is not how you treat people. I would never come here again and do business with...

The bar mgr when I got there was great but she only coverd for Bacardi till she got there, she serve and took care of all the men. I even bought it to the bar mgrs attn like she bn on the phone and never came to help us.4 Women who was there before the men. She finally served us our 1st drinks. 35 mins later I asked her does she have a problem serving women, she not once came back to us. We ordered 1 last round. Paid our bill left. We gave her a $2 tip but the service was worth that. She actually deserved nothing. Won't be returning on top of the fact 4 bathrooms and only 1 worked. Very...

Visited last night for my birthday. Atmosphere was ok no music till 10pm, the dj was whack didn’t blend the music right. Ordered food had to wait an hour and a half only for the waitress to come back and say what I ordered wasn’t in the kitchen, the bartender in the back room where I was, looked a mess and didn’t make the drinks properly.
