Chipot Lee — Restaurant in East Orange

The food IS good, HOWEVER, they could have sent me to the hospital or even worse killed me. I went to eat my food and found shrimp in my salmon lo mein; I am allergic to shelled fish. When I called, I was simply told to bring it back for a new one (as if I had all of the time in the world) but there was no apology. I was told the cook said "yes, I did it by mistake." (WOW!) I was left starving at work as I had to wait until my work day was to go back. When I took it back, I had to explain what happened ALL OVER AGAIN. "There was no note left for the new shift?!" It is a big deal to make the mistake of putting shrimp in someone's food who is allergic to shelled fish. They did offer to remake the food but I declined and asked for a refund. The fact that, no one apologized and no one on the staff saw fit to explain the HUGE MISTAKE to the next shift showed that something like that can easily...

Today for the umteempth time I went to Chipot Lee for lunch. Their food is always so good. I ordered their Philly Cheesesteak Wrap and a Pepperoni Slice. The wrap was absolutely phenomenal. Usually I’d get a burrito or the tacos. But man was I happy I changed it up. The wrap had awesome flavor. The veggies were fresh. The biggest surprise of it all was that it came with fries. Was not expecting it to. I’m not a huge fry person, but they were really good and I ended up eating all of them. The Pepperoni Slice didn’t stand a chance so no pics lol. But it was decent. I’d say the pizza was about average. All in all, absolutely love their food, but just had to write about the Philly Cheesesteak Wrap. The place is very good the food can be very good sometimes. The parm penne vodka is mine and my husbands favorite when they add the right amount of sauce and it’s not dry. I will say their chicken Alfredo is consistently trash. I tried ordering it today and came home and it legit is just buttered noodles. Where’s the flavor? Where’s the sauce?! They charged me $20 for buttered noodles and chicken lol I’m not trying to bash this place because it CAN be very good but some of the dishes they just miss the mark every single time and the chicken Alfredo is one of them. Which sucks because it’s like a dish almost everyone eats when they think of pasta.
