Rooms are filthy and bug, & Mice infested. Staff was rude at check-in. One rude old staff member had the audacity to ask me if i could afford the amount for the stay i reserved in the process he called a supervisor while holding my information and started speaking in hindu to them via phone as if it was a issue with what i reserved. On top of that they didn't give me the room i requested at all they rudely gave me someone's room they where still staying in. Then they just rushed and put me in the room right next to it which wasn't what i reserved. The room itself was utterly dirty and hadn't been cleaned in days. Me & my husband had to clean up the room ourselves. Also the Housekepping staff was constantly entering the room without our permission and stuff was slowly going missing and when i started refusing their service they told me rudely that i am not allowed to do that when in fact i am allowed to refuse cleanig services when not needed. Then the supervisor of the building and the housekeeping supervisor keep coming to my room threatning us as if we don't know hotel laws & state & federal regulations they have to follow. The sheets they give us are not clean 1 set had bullet wholes in them. I even have pics and videos from when i first checked in, of the room all dirty and smelly and broken up. The staff even tried to rudely demand to enter my room while i wasn't dressed and sleeping. They don't need to be running this facility at all. The staff here are horrible individuals and give a disgustful meaning to being a human being. They don't serve breakfast, they dont have a business center, they don't have a pool, Only 1 elevator working. Only 1 ice machine in the whole building located in lobby. i will post more about this place when i have a update during my current stay... As of 07/23/23 they're guest laundy is closed without any reason or notice They don't have a pool either. They have roaches & mice and certain plugs or sockets in the rooms don't work. Any complaints about this hotel you have to call Wyndam Hotel & Resorts corporately and file a complaint over the phone. i filed my complaint over a week ago i'm still waiting for a response because this hotel has the worst managers & other staff period, they enter your room when your not here, then they try to tell you what you can and can't have in the room and instead of fixing problems they just try to get rid of you by telling you to leave during your stay and false promising a partial refund. I paid alot of money for my stay and i didn't get what i reserved. The hotel needs new staff and needs to have someone from Wyndam corporately come down to look at this place the same way we see it because they take forever responding to issues about this place and to make matters worse the cleaning staff try to tell people we can't refuse their services, Which i find is a complete lie because we aren't required to take services from them everyday, that's just their way of trying to enter your room or scope out what you have in there for them to try and steal and then try to blame the rumaged up stuff on the mice and bugs and you during your stay once you notice and make a complaint. The staff dehumanizes people and think they can't be sued, they give people any kind of room and never what they paid or asked for smh. It's really a huge shame that this place is not safe because of the staff as well as its only one elevator working in the entire building and they don't care when they use it for cleaning or garbage during the day knowing that people/guests are coming in and out they do it without notice and they hold up the elevator for at least 45 minutes to an hour. They claimed to have had a business center/printing area but they don't. Everything as far as the meeting room and guest laundry are all located on the 2ndfloor however the excuse for the amenites not being accessible to guests aren't due to covid these staff members are just rude and creepy...
Read moreI stayed at Ramada East Orange for three nights and it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The only reason I did not book somewhere else once I realized how bad the hotel was, was because it was the same weekend as New York Comic Con and there weren't really other options. So where do I begin? The toilet got clogged on the first night, with no plungers in the rooms, so I called the front desk. No answer. I went downstairs and you'd think that I was talking to them about a very unusual issue because nobody knew what to do. Three people were asked if the hotel even had plungers before I was taken to a storage closet, handed a plunger and told to fix it myself. I was unable to, so I went back down to the desk to tell them to come up and do it and some guy was threatening the lives of the hotel workers behind the bullet proof glass and cops were rushing in to arrest him, and he was still screaming about how they had made a terrible mistake and were gonna regret it. I went back to my room and nobody in there had a toilet all night until I finally could talk to someone again the next morning. Additionally, the wifi worked well for about an hour and a half and then just totally cut out. There was water damage stains on the ceiling, vague pink stains on the bed sheets, the shower curtain didn't work, there were no ice machines (like, they didn't just not have ice in them, they've been removed since earlier reviews. That or there just wasn't one on my floor). Every vending machine was 'sold out' of every single item (at which point I came back to the room and exclaimed "Even the vending machines have poor customer service!") My friend and I also witnessed drug deals happening in the Walgreens parking lot nearby. I had a cold and my sense of smell didn't work all weekend, but my friend reported that the lobby and our floor both smelled strongly of weed the entire time. Very thin walls, could hear the room next door. Continental breakfast ran out of almost everything when I went down there towards the end of it the one morning. It's very close to the subway and a Walgreens, which was nice, but I did not feel safe even walking with someone else late at night (not an exaggeration, creepy comments were made at us the one night we did come back around 11pm for being two women out late in that part of town). If you're looking to go to New York on a budget, do NOT stay in East Orange and do not stay at...
Read moreI have always had great experiences staying at Ramada hotels and have come to rely on this brand for a quality stay whenever I travel. However, my recent two-night stay at the Ramada Wyndham in East Orange, New Jersey, was a significant exception and left me extremely disappointed.||Upon arrival, I was surprised to see that the reservation desk was encased in plexiglass, along with the "Snack Mart," which also had a plexiglass barrier with an opening for money exchanges. The lobby itself was bare and unwelcoming, with just one worn sofa and two equally worn chairs. Additionally, despite the website advertising a free breakfast, nothing was provided during my stay. The photo on the website is a total lie. There is NOTHING there, no tables and chairs or any food. NOTHING.||The conditions of the property were unacceptable. The lobby and hallways were filled with the strong odor of marijuana, forcing us to place a towel under our room door to block the smell. Our room was also in poor condition: Fritos from a previous guest were left under the nightstand, a wall lamp and air conditioner vent were broken, and the refrigerator was frozen over to the point where its door wouldn’t close, causing water to leak onto the floor. We had to use towels to keep the floor dry.||The hallways and elevator were filthy, with trash left unattended for long periods, adding to the overall neglect. Our room did not have a "Do Not Disturb" sign, and we had to request one from the front desk. Additionally, the safe in the room did not function, and when I inquired at the front desk, I was informed that the safes were no longer operational and would not be replaced.||I was deeply disappointed by the state of this hotel and, had I been able to find alternative accommodations, I would have checked out immediately. This property does not meet the standards I associate with the Ramada brand, and I strongly believe that this hotel either needs to be closed or that Ramada Wyndham should remove its name from the property altogether. It is a disgrace to their otherwise trusted brand.||I have photographs documenting these issues, and I plan to send them to their corporate office as well. Avoid this hotel...
