EDIT: After my initial review, I was sent a reply by the establishment. Let me clarify a few things. First of all, the food is unable to be reviewed as I did not have any, as such, I gave it a 3 which is typically (in a normal review system) reserved for a neither agree nor disagree rating and Google would NOT let me post without rating the 3 primary criteria; however, based on your reply you do not understand this and so I have changed my food score to a 1 and left the comment alone from my initial review. Second, the establishment has stated that we were there in a Thursday based on the lack of selection for alcohol and the equipment malfunction which is FALSE we were there on a Saturday, May 4th, and per the response would mean the supplier would have run to replenish the stock pile as anyone who has ever had to order stock in a business would know is how it has to be done (which I have multiple times in my adult life). So this is either a vagrant lie or a misunderstanding on the responders part. Third despite claiming to be marketed as more than just a bar, this was the primary function we and the majority of people there that night had experienced. As far as your sports package, I get almost all of the games available through Fubotv for around $100 a month which includes all of the Braves games which a sports bar/restaurant named after a baseball term should definitely look into. Fourth your sectionals were listed as reserved meaning not available for all, and the environment was one of people not caring enough to provide excellent customer service or care. Fifth your pool tables were $15 on our tab for pool balls, darts were also not readily available (pool and darts easily understandable), your Jenga was shoved in a corner next to a bathroom, and your shuffle board was in the opposite corner against the wall literally with one end in the corner (inaccessible). Sixth your bartenders stated they didn't have a shaker for mixing drinks when one was clearly in sight behind the bar towards the kitchen. The OSHA violation I mentioned would still stand if the night we were there was supposedly AFTER they had fixed the drain issue. LASTLY, your response to my initial review and the GENEROUS 4 star rating I had assigned because I HATE just trashing a business when I would rather issues be addressed and fixed. I NOW following your response have decided to rethink and revise my initial review to reflect how your lack of humility and unwillingness to provide good customer service has impacted my experience and future thoughts on ever visiting this location ever again. I hate writing a review like this, but thank you for your response and for demonstrating you care very little about your customers.
I can't rate the food fairly, but from what I saw it looked okay. I will rate the alcohol though as a lower selection. They had an almost empty bottle of Jameson and no more available, ciders but no seltzers, and for the price point there are better options. The people I came with had ordered margaritas and after tasting it it was VERY OBVIOUS it was NOT a margarita. One our party's husband showed up after us, ordered one drink, and talked everyone else into leaving after because of quality vs price. The environment leaves something to be desired. Behind the bar was an OSHA violation waiting to happen just from the puddle the bartenders were having to work in. It took a long time to get our drinks. Before we left someone tried to fight the DJ who closed up early after his equipment malfunctioned. There are two bar areas and only one of them was being run. The theme they go for is a baseball-themed sports bar, but they couldn't even throw on the Braves game that night because, as we were told, "we don't get the channel that's on". I am no longer willing to give this place another try due to the reply I received following the initial posting and the lack of customer service and care it shows. I don't know if it was the owner or a manager who made the reply, but regardless it's inappropriate and unprofessional to...
Read moreFood and drinks were good but the service sucked. She had a bad attitude and If she would have checked back with us we would have ordered more drinks they lost out on money because their waitress did not do check backs at all you had to go to the bar yourself or go find her to get more to drinks weither it was non-alcoholic or alcohol. She is messing up money for everyone there. I'm sure the poor bartender paid for her being rude to customers when she should not have to because she was not the one being rude. Hope y'all get better help.
Edit review - I did stop one guy and asked him if he owned the place he said no he was just helping you out, because I was going to tell him what happened because he was the only one who come pass our table multiple times not our waitress she might of come to our table 5 times 2 of those times were when we first got there to take our order then bring us our order but the other 3 times was Everytime we wanted another drink we had to go find her or go to the bar to order one and she had to bring it to us that's the only reason she came by then. So if you watch video you will see where we had to get up Everytime our drinks were out to get more. All I'm saying is she could do better on check backs and have a better attitude. My teenager asked what was on the nachos and I quote the waitress said "everything that normally comes on nachos." Like what kind of answer is that not every restaurant puts the same thing on nachos. Luckily l had looked online to be able to tell her what all come on them. I have waited tables most of my life so I know when people are busy and behind it is hard, but you all were not busy. Your place has so much potential just need better service so people want...
Read moreI haven't been there in a while. I stopped in at closing time and met the new owners, Beth and Rodney. Good people and obviously creative, because I didn't recognize the place! I used to shoot pool and was there quite a bit. But I couldn't believe it was the same place! Looks absolutely great. Cozy, classy, just a cool vibe, very inviting. I can't say enough about the new design. Excellent. It's open throughout, creating more flow in every direction. There's a nice variety of entertainment options. Pool, Jenga, Cornhole, comfortable seating to watch the latest games and there's enough T.V.'s so wherever you choose to sit, you'll have access to one of many. I'm looking forward to hearing the jazz band on Friday nights. Did I not say, "it's cool? Karaoke too, got to sing my favorite songs! I'll be choosing something from their menu, (saw a couple pictures), delicious choices. East Ridge should be proud to have a place like the new "Home Plate". It's like being in the city of Chattanooga, where there's many restaurants, sports bars, and interesting places to hang. I hope the City of East Ridge appreciates being chosen for a new business of this caliber, and that more people will follow suit. East Ridge is being revitalized, great place to live! Yes, my review is lengthy, but wanted to share this new, exciting place.Come check it out y'all, I promise, your gonna be surprised and your gonna have...
