El Sazon De Mi Abuela — Restaurant in East Stroudsburg

I found this spot like 3 months ago. I live 5 mins away from it, I have no idea how I missed it. Best puertorrican food I’ve had in ES and Stroudsburg. Most of the time I order pernil with rice and beans and it’s SOOO GOOD.. but I’ve had the mofongo.. delicious, I’ve had farina,stew chicken, beef and chicken empanadas, flan, tres leches, flancocho, tembleque.. last time my friend came she had an alcapurria and she was drooling over it.. We saw a video online about this restaurant and just had to try it. If I could give this restaurant more stars I would! The lady at the counter was extremely polite and attentive. The FOOD WAS FANTASTIC ! You could taste all the flavors and seasonings. There was nothing negative I can say about our experience. Stumbled upon this place on our way to our hotel. The crab empanada is the BEST I’ve ever had. It’s not greasy or overly saucy. The crab meat was nice and juicy with tons of flavor.

My wife had the mofongo and that was also the BEST we’ve ever had. The mofongo is not dry, the shrimp was a nice size and also cooked well. We loved that their rice, beans, and mofongo are made without meat.Service was also top notch.
