I hesitated to leave this review, but I believe it's important to share my experience with this local business, especially for others who value transparency and consistency. Over time, I’ve noticed a serious issue with the inconsistency in pricing. On multiple occasions, I’ve been charged different prices for the exact same item, depending on the day or who is ringing me up. It seems like the prices change daily, with no clear explanation or visible updates to menus or signage. Most recently, I was charged $1.46 for a single egg on a breakfast sandwich. That’s not a typo, one egg, $1.46. Adding cheese was an additional $0.93, and even simple add-ons like onions were another $0.93. When you do the math, at $1.46 per egg, the restaurant is essentially charging $17.52 per dozen eggs, when the same carton can be bought at a grocery store for $3.99. That’s more than a 400% markup just for one basic ingredient. I support small businesses whenever I can, but there’s a difference between supporting local and being taken advantage of. These pricing practices are, frankly, outrageous and lack transparency. To make matters worse, the organization and workflow inside the restaurant is poor. Even if you call ahead and place an order over the phone, you’re still expected to wait in the same line as walk-in customers who haven’t ordered yet. This defeats the purpose of ordering ahead and causes unnecessary delays. On several occasions, orders have been incorrect, or items have been missing entirely. • Prices change daily with no consistency • Extremely high markups on basic items (e.g., eggs, cheese, toppings) • Poor order management and lack of separation between phone and in-person orders • Frequent mistakes on orders I truly wanted to continue supporting this small business, but these ongoing issues make it hard to justify coming back. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and reassess both their pricing model and customer...
Read moreRecently changed owners, and the reason why I now rate it 5 from an old 4 if I reviewed it prior to ownership change is simply the fact they now take other forms of payment than cash! The bagels still taste the same and even though the owners changed some of the same people work their with friendly faces that are always welcoming. If you’re running late call ahead to place your order. Bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel is my go to!
That was a review months ago, and now sadly I would have to give it 3/5 stars from my previous 5/5. Just today I placed a call to hit bagels 5 times without an answer. Stopped by with 4 people waiting for their orders as no more orders were taken. There needs to be someone there to make sure things are going smoothly. And sadly it seems when the owner isn’t there it’s very hectic. Also, the line seems to all stand in front of the door and you never know who has ordered and who hasn’t, I hope things start to change because this is the 4th time I have taken my business elsewhere, and with another bagel store that opened a min down the road they may continue to lose...
Read moreExtremely chaotic business, with what seemed like no organization. Bagels are very good, however, we were a first time costumer on a very busy day, the girl at the front was super sweet and you could tell her and everyone was stressed. The girl at the front taking payments said she couldn’t take our payment since we didn’t call the order in to her specifically and then just kind of left us standing on the side confused. Then, they had trouble with our payment and we tried asking them multiple times if it went through and they wouldn’t even let us finish the question and said we were good to go, so we left and got chased out saying we never paid for our order and every single customer was giving us dirty looks and huffing and puffing at us, now making us look bad. There needs to be a better...
