We started off with the Chicken 999, a superior substitute for boneless hot wings, let me explain. I generally do not like boneless wings as I love the traditional wings only, however, after tasting this appetizer, I would gladly order these as an equal substitute for real wings. These crispy breaded chunks of chicken were so flavorful with a substantial amount of heat that were an unexpected delight. I even enjoyed some pieces with the garnish of sliced cabbage, it provided an additional pleasant crunch. We also had the Veg Samosa that was piping hot which came with a thick soy based sauce that was also delicious, that’s 2 for 2 out of the gate, a wonderful start. Both dishes came out at different times which was fine as we were sharing everything we ordered which was really a bonus. Now the rest of our lunch began to be interesting, we ordered 2 different chicken Biryanis entrees but with the language barrier, it appeared we received one (it was chicken, but wasn’t what we ordered) that we thought was what we ordered and a goat Biryanis. They removed the goat dish and then came out with our original order. So in essence we had 3 entrees on our table, we were a bit confused and the waiter couldn’t explain why, again to a language issue. So we ended up having (pictured in order) chicken 999, Veg Samosa, Hyderabadi chicken dum biryanis (I believe), Alakai Biryanis chicken and Temper biryanis chicken. They originally billed us for the extra entree and after explaining that we didn’t order the one biryanis, it was immediately removed from our bill. We also had the Indian Chai tea (hot) which was absolutely delicious. The Temper biryanis was supposed to be really hot, but IMO it was at the upper level of heat but did not pass that point where it was too hot to enjoy, however, I enjoy spicy dishes so I’ll leave it at that. We really enjoyed this place, it isn’t fancy by any means, but it had great service and absolutely delicious and flavorful food. The menu was very descriptive compared to other Indian restaurants and was the main reason for choosing to stop in, a credit to the owners to provide this necessary information for those of us that are uninformed. We can’t wait to order other different dishes thanks to how they are described. I highly recommend this place and cannot believe it isn’t rated...
Read moreBawarchi Biriyani in Princeton offers an exceptional dining experience with its diverse and flavorful menu. Our visit was marked by a variety of dishes that were all impressively delicious and well-prepared.
We started with the Goat Sukha, which was a standout dish. The goat was tender and richly spiced, cooked to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices that made every bite a delight. The meat was succulent and flavorful, showcasing the kitchen’s skill in preparing traditional Indian cuisine.
The Biriyani Lunch Platter was another highlight. The biriyani was fragrant and perfectly cooked, with each grain of rice distinct and infused with spices. The accompanying sides complemented the biriyani beautifully, adding a range of flavors and textures that made for a satisfying and complete meal.
The Chole Bhature was a delightful treat. The bhature was light and fluffy, with a slight crispiness on the outside, making it the perfect vessel for the chole. The chickpeas in the chole were well-cooked and richly spiced, creating a hearty and comforting dish that we thoroughly enjoyed.
The Dal Fry was the epitome of comfort food. It was creamy and well-seasoned, with a smooth texture that paired wonderfully with the naan and rice. The subtle flavors and perfectly cooked lentils made it a standout among the vegetarian offerings.
Overall, Bawarchi Biriyani in Princeton exceeded our expectations with its delicious food and warm, inviting atmosphere. Each dish was a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity. We left with our taste buds thoroughly satisfied and look forward to returning to explore more of their...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant from temple which is very close to and we were starving and we didn’t eat anything reason When we dine at 5.00 pm atmosphere was so smelly and restaurant was empty , we were 4 people and 1 baby so we choose to sit in bigger table but they refused to let us sit they said if we sit in bigger table they will charge extra gratuity where as restaurant was empty. We were in table and looking menu two staff was chatting each other but didn’t ask for water. We asked for water and brought normal water so we asked for ice they said they don’t have ice in restaurant silly thing is restaurant don’t have ice machine. We wanted to order food so we ordered naan, dhosa, biryani, dal makhani staff said they only have biryani right now bcz they don’t have a chef inside the kitchen . So we asked what food can you bring fast bcz we have to go back to NY he said chef will come at 5.20 pm where as restaurant was already opened at 5.00 pm . And lastly the staff said he can bring biryani which was made early morning and wanted us to eat not fresh the food which was made 5 hrs earlier. And lastly he said if you want to wait for chef you can wait up to 10 to 15 minutes so we left without eating anything . So why restaurant chef is not ready before opening a restaurant at 5.00 pm at least he should be at restaurant before 15 min so customer can dine in by 5.00 pm which says open and why chef coming late and why there’s an open sign if chef was not there by time and why staff wants customers to eat biryani which was made early morning . Restaurant really need to improve management. Worst...
