The Home Depot — Local services in East Windsor Township

April 2024 Everyone thusfar, as can be seen from my reviews ( I have to keep editing -HD does not allow one to give new, separate reviews, with each interaction) has been very kind and helpful at the East Windsor Home Depot, however, on this particular visit, I was interested in looking for material and equipment for a specific project and met a young man by the name of ANTHONY Y. He was very knowledgeable, had excellent manners, ( I have to give a shot out to his parents and how they raised their child). I have never met a person that was so well mannered, especially for his age- I don't recall how young he is but Home Depot and his future employers will be very lucky to have someone like Anthony working for them!!! He explained why I wouldn't need certain items for my project the pros and cons of using the material that I was interested in, etcetera. I found him to be extremely sincere. Hopefully when it's time for his annual review, Home Depot recognises how valuable he is to them as an employee and pays him appropriately. As stated he was.helpful, knowledgeable, and his customer service was OUTSTANDING due to his EXEMPLARY manners. If only more people had such manners, interacting with others would always be a pleasant experience. Thank you Anthony for your assistance!!!

*( Late Winter 2024 )This is my most recent interaction which is LONG OVERDUE. I needed a new battery for my key fob, found the battery, inserted it and the key fob didn't work. I went over to rentals and met a young nice man, by the name of DAN who tried to help me - it didn't work. He even went onto YouTube to see if there was something specific that we had both done incorrectly. After quite some time, he thought he would ask a colleague of his by the name of AUBREY. AUBREY as DAN tackled this situation as though the key fob and issue had belonged to both of them. The three of us tried and tried, I even thought it was a bad package of batteries which I bought at Home Depot,so we opened another package - that wasn't the issue. I finally contacted the facility where I made the purchase of this fob that nearly cost me $80.00 and while we were on Google and YouTube trying to solve the issue, noticed that they are $10.00 MAX. THANK YOU DAN & AUBREY for BEING such WONDERFUL GENTLEMEN!!! I greatly appreciated both of your assistance. Sorry that my review took so long.

Never in my years of retail have I seen such horrible customer service. I don't know if it is this current location or Home Depot has a company, but on multiple occasions, this location has not only shown total disrespect but has messed with my orders costing my family thousands of dollars. There was a flood in my home, this caused my wood floor to warp, so I looked towards Home Depot for assistance. They came into my home to do an inspection and gave us a price to replace the flooring. I contacted my insurance and we agreed on a price. Ready to fix my now torn up floor, I also purchased a washer and dryer set. Now this is where my experience goes down hill. The people came in to install my washer and dryer but told me that they couldn't install at this time because my hose didn't fit. They then left the uninstalled washer and dryer and rescheduled so that I could purchase a new hose. curious, I went to see for myself if I could install the washer, and surprise not only did they not see if the hose did fit they had not even touched the washer, it still having its original wrapping over the hose. I had to pay for a new hose for no reason. looking past my washer dilemma, home depot came into finally replace my floors (this now being a month passed when I originally ordered my replacement.) I come to find that the flooring is not the one I ordered. calling up the store, they show me that an employee has changed the order without even contacting me. I had ordered wood boards, and in my home was now a cheap, thin, plywood and wood blend that was cheap and easily broke. upset I contacted the store to find that my new balance for this project was now an additional four thousand dollars because the installers had found that they needed to pull an additional layer of flooring. keep in mind that two months ago someone had already come to my home to do a full evaluation. livid I contacted corporate who gave me a runaround and was not helpful at all. the manager of Home Depot had finally contacted me days after and to reschedule a new evaluation, and I agreed that I would pull the flooring that the installers had found would cost an additional four thousand dollars. A contractor and an employee named mary came into my home to my home. mary made it seem that it was my fault that my order was changed and told me that she would not change the price because of my changes I said that I would be doing the demolition myself. She was not sympathetic that I was going through this experience and even got angry with me because I was distraught. now I am looking for business elsewhere, my home now lacking a floor and wood that I didn't order is now taking up...

Don’t renovate your house with Home Depot. This review is for the kitchen design and appliances departments. They’re the RUDEST people we’ve ever worked with. Incompetent and completely useless. The one woman Linda from the design department seems to be on vacation every time we need her for a delivery. She’s impossible to get a hold of and the people who fill in for her are terrible. They charged our credit card OVER the amount we were suppose to pay and tried to blame it on US instead of taking accountability. We surely didn’t do the transaction, it was completely on them unless I was working the register which again… I wasn’t. They installed our cabinets sloppily. There were constant holds on our counter tops and appliances, which we understand with shortages due to the pandemic but there was NO communication on their end to let us know to know not expect the delivery until AFTER the delivery day passed. And don’t even get my started on the delivery drivers. Michael and Jose delivered our appliances and Michael was the epitome of rude. Rude is actually TOO nice to describe him and his behavior. He made nasty remarks the entire time, ASKED FOR US TO TIP HIM and even got into a fight with our neighbor in the parking lot of our townhome. He was obnoxious and made my mother extremely uncomfortable and upset. He was also standing on our sidewalk while barking at us to tip him extra as a “convenience fee.” We were close to calling the police if he didn’t get off of our property. I would NEVER EVER recommend getting your renovations done with Home Depot. Unprofessional, unfriendly and rude people. The quality of work is...
