Visited 12/09/23 for dinner, just shortly after 5 p.m. in a group of 4. I ordered the fish and chips, with an extra order of slaw. No vinegar or tartar sauce came with the fish, which you think should have. By itself, the fish was okay. The chips are freshly made and were pretty tasty. The slaw was creamy, and while I'm not a fan of that type of slaw, it was pretty good. Others ordered garden salad, the sirloin, and the salmon, all of which were properly cooked, and looked delicious with their respective sides. Everyone else said their food was pretty good. The person who ordered a garden salad asked if there was oil and vinegar for their salad, and the server (I don't know her name) seemed confused and said she wasn't too sure if there was. The dinner menu isn't too complicated, so I'm not sure why she wouldn't know, but it took a bit to find out. Also, the server never came back during the meal at all to ask if we wanted more to drink, she only asked at the very end of the meal when all the plates were gone.
There was also a wedding, and while everyone looked lovely, and doing things that weddings have (like picture taking, where a lot of cameras flashing kept hitting me in the face at an angle through the hallway windows) a lot of foot traffic was going across the hall directly in front of the restaurant. Another reviewer said false walls would be good, and I support that. At the very least, privacy curtains should be put up so that you can have a conversation with other people...
Read moreQuality not worth the price. Had at least 10 dinners here in the past 3 years while staying at this hotel. If you have to eat here, try 5pm-7pm for half price drinks and apps. Would not recommend the fish tacos but the quesadilla was decent (served with store bought salsa).
Bartender Dori wasnt very nice. 3rd night staying there this past weekend, there was a huge wedding reception going on near the lobby. My 5 friends asked if we could play cards in the EMPTY dining room bc the wedding party was so loud we couldnt hear over the loud music. Dori said no, absolutely not. We would've gladly purchased drinks and possibly food so I don't understand why we were turned away. Maybe that's why the dining area was empty? There are not any other common areas in the hotel and she didnt offer any other options. This wasn't our only interaction with Dori, she never seemed to be that friendly. I'm in the service industry so I expect to be treated with some sort of warmth of respect at an establishment when we are paying guests.
Mediocre food, sub par service, unreasonable prices. Going to order...
Read moreThis place sucks! We went there after a wedding to have a few drinks and some food as most of us were staying in this hotel. We got there about 10:30PM and there were a few other people there already. There were 3 tables in the bar area but maybe 20 others behind the bar area and to the side. When we asked if we could sit at any of those tables, because we had about 20 people with us, they said we could not. Half the tables we could order food at but not drinks, and the other half was drinks and no food. We were forced to have 20 people jammed into a room with empty space just taunting us feet away.
Nachos, but no sour cream or salsa. Cheese fries that were soggy from being fried and half cooked. $3 coke...The food was "ok" but not worth the price. The people working there were not very helpful and when asked for help they seemed to not hear us or decided not to listen.
I would not recommend anyone...
