Crowley's Dive Bar - Eastlake — Restaurant in Eastlake

Very nice atmosphere and interior design. No drink menu but they have lots of drinks and beers to offer. I didn't really care for their take on a gyro but my mom loved it and my brother loved their burger. Cute little dive bar but I was expecting a bit better service, for example giving us the check but not waiting for the card even though I had it in my hand, but other then that it was ideal. The gyro was good but I didn't like that the meat is on top of the vegtables but I guess that's just how they do it. Also, some of the meat had some gritty bits that I could have done without, other than that the meat was tender and flavorful. I prefer a traditional Greek gyro with white tziki sauce inatead of this version but it's definately something diffrent. Looking forward to coming here and trying diffrent stuff on the menu that may be more to my liking. Hear they have a good potato pancake situation .

Oh and I must also mention I did not care for the silverware sitting at the middle of the table unwrapped! It is flu season, and I wouldn't want silverware someone may...

We stopped by because we were in the area, saw the reviews and had to try their Smash Burger. Despite the very small feel & place, it sure does make a HUGE impression! Everyone was welcoming, food was delicious & service was incredibly friendly. You can choose your own seating, they have a wall jukebox where you can choose your own music. We got the pretzels with the beer cheese and they were crunchy on the outside, and beautifully soft on the inside, and full of flavor. We both got the smash burgers with fries, which I’m so glad we did. The fries were probably the best fries I’ve had lately, and the burger was so tasty and we can’t wait to go back again! We went around 3pm, which was probably the best choice because I know they get pretty packed in the evening/night, so if you are going for food, go around...

I have tried twice just to be sure. The smash burger is good...it's just not great like other reviews say. People keep saying the wings are big, but they are literally the length of my pinky. Both seperate times they got parts of my order wrong and the place is kind of small. People literally crowded the bar and pulled stools up and basically pushed themselves right into my area. That was annoying, as it was the bartender's idea. That being said...it is a dive bar and as dive bars go, they have good deals on low end beers on Thursdays and it definitely has a dive bar feel. The food is the middle of the road, so it's good for a dive bar. The servers are nice. I feel like it may get a little too busy sometimes...
