I have been going to what was Sugarbush for many many years. I have always enjoyed their food. On December 29, 2023, around 1730. I went in to order some stuffed shells and fish & chips. I stood by the door and the only person who acknowledged my presence was the black cook in the kitchen who at least nodded in my direction after i stood tgere for ten minutes. I stood there with a menu waving and was completely ignored 🙁 by the waitress staff and it was four of them. I stood there for 15 frigging minutes, listening to the conversations of the same waitstaff in the little prep room, who blatantly ignored me all while looking me directly in my face with a menu in my hands. I felt embarrassed when I overheard the same waitresses state I am not waiting on him. I have a table and proceeded to take salads to the table she was serving and the other waitress looked at me and walked into the kitchen. I would like to think that I am not invisible to them by the color of my skin. I would further like to think that I am welcome where I have been eating for over 10 years. I actually have real American currency?? Lol 😆. I simply walked out and figured they did not want to seat me or offer a carry out. The wrong people representing your brand negatively can make or break a business in these times. To walk in and not be offered service is both demeaning and insulting to someone that have served the community my entire adult life. The optics do not look good at all. I actually returned today December 30, about 1430. This actually happened again, and I welcome you to review your cameras. I walked in and held the door for a lady who was walking in behind me. The waitress asked if we were together and the lady, later identified as a retired police woman named Winston was given a menu and I was ignored and not given one and she walked away. Me and the lady engaged in conversation about old associates we both knew. I explained what happened yesterday and she saw first hand the way I was ignored again and how did she get service and I stood there for another ten minutes. Sadly, the only person who acknowledged me was the black cook from the kitchen. All I wanted was fish & pasta shells 🐚. You have to do better at serving everyone equally. I am appalled that I left out of there two days in a row feeling that my presence was not welcome at a location of which I ride by every day in my travels. I thank the female officer for encouraging me to take the time to write a review to bring this to the attention of not just management, but to the owner himself. I now have a very negative perception of how I was not serviced and the possible reasonings behind their actions or lack there of. I wish not to read any further into it but I was very uncomfortable with how I was made to feel and I am merely trying to grab some food and support local businesses in my community. I am short of saying that I won't return there ever again, but I would be depriving myself one of my favorite places to eat. I hope some type of retraining is in order, and I feel that it will be addressed by Jeff who appears to be very proactive. Thank you in advance for reviewing this very sensitive matter to me....
Read moreWe stopped in here as dad wanted to try the restaurant out as a new place. We entered the building, found it to be a nice place inside. We were greeted promptly by the hostess with a great smile. We were taken to a table and were seated. Our waitress came over with a great big smile and warm friendly attitude which set the mood for dinner. We ordered our drinks as we looked at the wide variety of menu selections. They had sandwiches to full dinners with steak. We ordered and wasn't long before we received our entrees . Warm, taste, and as ordered. We were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. In the appropriate time our waitress came around several times to ask how our dinner was and if there was anything we needed. A great professional I have to say. This lady knew how to treat her guess. We finished our meal and our waitress ask if we wanted to dessert. We declined as we were both full. We received our check and promptly paid and left. The place was a place I would highly recommend coming to for lunch or dinner. It has room for a large party or even the smallest of parties. A lot of TVs to watch sports on. They have plenty of parking and handicap parking and seating. They accept cash, credit cards. Only thing we missed was the waitress's name so we could recommend her to everyone. The only distinction she had for us to remember her was airplane on her left tricep and since I am into airplanes I will definitely remember her. She...
Read moreMy friend & I came here and DID NOT have a good experience. CHRISSY was our waitress. She came to our table twice. Once to take our order & then again to bring our food. There was a booth behind us & a booth in front of us. CHRISSY walked past us 12 times(we counted) and never asked us if we were ok or needed anything. Each time she bypassed us and asked the other tables if they were ok & needed anything. We were clearly invisible to her. We finally stopped her as she was leaving the table behind us (after tending to them AGAIN) and we asked why we were being ignored. She said because the people at that table was upset because they had to wait. She lied because they came in after us along with the fact they seemed pretty happy. So to compensate for her rudeness, she offered to buy us another beer. We declined so she took our alcoholic beverages off the bill instead.(we didn’t ask her to) VERY Bad customer service. I’ve been here before a few times but this was the first time I was unhappy. Hey excuses and behavior was...
