Overall, I like Bushfire Kitchen. I always get the tri tip bowl and I love their lavender lemonade. The bowl is really good and the portion is (usually) generous for the price. One of the reasons I gave four stars instead of five is because the steak is cooked inconsistently. From my understanding, the meat is supposed to automatically be cooked medium rare unless otherwise specified. The pictures show it medium rare and the first two times I got it, it came medium rare without me having to specify. The following two times I ordered it, it came almost medium well. The fifth time it was not only overcooked, I also got half the amount of meat it usually comes with.
Today, I ordered on Uber Eats and then called Bushfire to request it to be cooked medium rare because of the previous inconsistencies. The guy who answered was nice and said he’d make sure the steak was medium rare. When the order arrived at my house, the meat was indeed medium rare.
I’ve eaten in once with a friend, gotten it delivered twice, and ordered ahead for pickup three times. Eating at the restaurant is nice, I like that they have an enclosed patio and the drink I ordered at the bar was pretty good. When I order ahead, I wish the site had special instructions so I can ask for no ice and other specifications. Once, I called right after I placed the online order to ask for no ice. I guess they forgot because they put ice. Another time I had to wait 20 minutes when I arrived at the promised time, so it wasn’t ready until 50 minutes after I ordered.
Overall, the employees are usually nice, food is mostly good, and atmosphere is nice. I did email customer service when the overcooked/smaller portion of meat and the long wait happened on the same visit. The manager (or owner?) did offer a $10 coupon and was apologetic. I guess I will just call every time I order to specify how I want the steak and check my order before leaving each time. Do I think I should have to do this? No. Will that stop me from...

As soon as I walked in, I love the big open space with a cool vibe and great aesthetics!Indoor and outdoor dining with plenty of space. Outdoor seating is pretty cool with its own bar to order cocktails and sangria.
Everything we tried: Surf & Turf Plate Thai Chicken Curry Bowl + grilled veggies (tip: ask for a little extra curry sauce on the side. The rice will absorb sauce, which has great flavor and a kick of spice) Quinoa & Power Greens salad Gaucho steak sandwich + fried egg (tip: ask them to add a fried egg on each half when sandwich is cut in half- for that runny egg) En Fuego Burger (delicious & BIG, crispy bacon) Grass fed beef empanadas Chicken empanadas Monte Cristo Christmas Special Empanadas Creamy chimichurri sauce (tip: dip everything in it!!) Macadamia Royale cookie Lemon cooler cookie (taste like a lemon bar) Sangria red & white House made lavender hibiscus lemonade House made lemonade
Don’t miss out on their variety of empanadas that are made in house. So flaky!! Their Monte Cristo Christmas Special Empanadas are for a limited time. Their cookies are scrumptious!! Service was excellent and everyone was attentive...
Read moreTheir slogan is cooked slow, served fast but it should be cooked slow, served even slower! We waited over an hour and a half for cold food.
I was excited for this place to open but that excitement turned as cold as my food once the food finally came out. The tri-tip was cold and looked unappetizing and the squash was undercooked, I love raw veggies but this was ridiculous. The mashed potatoes were cold, dry and bland, the Idaho potatoes in the pouch you add water to from the supermarket taste better than the potatoes they were serving.
Chatting with several other guests, I found the average wait time was about the same hour and a half that we waited. At least 5 groups of people asked for refunds due to slow wait times and/or cold food. They also didn’t have rice but we weren’t notified until our food came out, then they said they were out of rice and asked if we wanted something else…wait do I need to wait another 1.5 hours for the substitution?
The restaurant closes at 9:00 but the doors were already locked at 8:30 and people with online orders were knocking to get in.
I was completely disgusted and the only reason I didn’t ask for my money back is because the employees were friendly and the shift lead, I think his name was Paul was working hard delivering food to the tables and running the shift while doing his best to keep the customers satisfied.
Hopefully this is just new opening pains, maybe I will try again after they have been open a...
