I was working in the area all this week building the new Ace Hardware. This restaurant is located next to the old building for Ace Hardware. I ate there quite a few times this week because the food is amazing and the service is just as great. The servers we had where amazing they were friendly and a big thing with me with restaurants is that my drink never goes empty and they stay on top of it. The first day our whole team that I work with ( I work for The Beam Team ) one of our supervisors travel to the area and took us all to lunch. This is a very busy little restaurant but we got a table to fit seven very quickly. One of my coworkers the days that we did go into lunch he got the mixed variety fajitas and I got the enchiladas with beans and rice everyday. Their chips and salsa are by far some of the best that I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant. Yesterday A co-worker and I went to a Mexican restaurant that was across the street from the new Ace Hardware we were building and we were wishing that we had just come back to this one because the other one was overpriced the server we had was very rude and gave us dirty looks the whole time are drinks stayed empty and the food took forever to come out. We only have a 30 minute lunch so we had to eat extremely fast to get back to work. This issue at this restaurant at all so I suggest if you're looking for Mexican food in this area and fast friendly service this is your place and a sweet tea is...
Read moreAs a Hispanic (unlike 98% of their customers) I have to say this was some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, personally I ordered twice in hopes that the second time would be better, and I was wrong. I’ve ordered tacos with different meats and unfortunately all had skimped portions of meat, skimped onions and cilantro, the meat is dry and it NEVER came with lime or salsa. I’ve order supreme nachos thinking there’s no way you can mess up nachos, came to me with “cheese” sauce with the consistency of WATER. I’ve ordered tamales thinking maybe the traditional food is better, once again, I was wrong, tamale came with nothing in it and random meat with a tomato sauce that tasted like it was Italian bolognese. Even the chips and salsa ( salsa has consistency of water ) we’re mid. These things were so bad, as someone who loves food, I had to throw it out. I hope they step their game up because my experiences here were worst than Taco Bell’s. no se quien cocina la comida, pero debe...
Read moreFor our visit February 1, 2018. This was our first trip over to El Agave. It won't be our last. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and everyone there was friendly.
El Agave is an unassuming place next door to a BP station. The mediocrity ends there. This small "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant is big on everything else.
We go out to eat to eat. The food must be good. My wife had the Burrito Supreme and I had the House Special. Both were above reproach. The food was plentiful, well seasoned and reasonably priced.
Service is a large part of enjoying our meal. We like good service without hovering. Drink glasses full, empty plates removed promptly and all without disturbing our meal. Yeni is the server by which all servers should be judged. Thank you Yeni for a pleasant meal.
Cleanliness is important. El Agave is clean and well maintained. It screams "we care about our restaurant."
