When you walk into a book store, you know very quickly if it is a labor of love... And this is!! The owner visited bookstores all over the country to get ideas, but it is her remarkable talent for selecting a widely diverse and current collection that impressed this old librarian. My husband and I loved visiting and talking with the owner, who was enthusiastic and fun and who knows and loves books. The shop itself is a little jewel box with comfortable chairs and a bunk for kids. Enough cool book-related gifts sprinkled about to interest browsers and seekers alike. I could barely leave without beautiful Mama Llama who can read the whole book for your child... or you! I read those books to my grandkids repeatedly and still loved them. Our book club visited Eatonton earlier this month and had hoped to find a bookstore. This place blew us away. The owners were absolutely lovely and passionate, the book selection was intentional and carefully selected, and the gift items were a perfect fit. We left with a book (or several) we couldn’t wait to read, gifts for loved ones, and local recommendations that held up when we took them.
