I've started going very regularly as the store is a few blocks away, and by far has the best espresso I've ever tasted of any drive through coffee shop. There are quite a few issues to be worked out; I've gotten multiple incorrect drinks and complaining on the app does NOTHING. I don't like that there is NO way to turn around and walk inside to speak to a manager if there is an issue, and I don't like that they don't start your order when placing ahead. I want that option. I don't like having to sit there, AFTER WAITING IN LINE DESPITE ORDERING AND PAYING BEFORE THOSE AHEAD OF ME, to be asked my entire life story before I've even had my daily coffee, it's too much. It's tip fishing at its worst and the coffee costs far too much to expect me to tip your employees for being so invasive to my life; it's not a server job so they should be paid well enough to not be that pushy or awkward. Maybe I would tip if my drinks were accurate- the only one I've never once had a problem with is the caramel blender. I ordered a peanut butter crunch one day and it was THE BEST COFFEE I EVER HAD. I ordered it again a couple of days later and it was not just a little different, it was a wholly other drink entirely and I hated it. I think the first one I ordered, they did the flavors of the shots but accidentally forgot to give me the "peanut butter crunch sauce" that I've read about employees on other sites discussing, and I was extremely confused learning that there are two VERY similar drinks on the menu labeled with peanut butter that are constantly messed up among all of the locations. There are designated amounts of sauces and pumps for every drink, and the drink maker isn't even making eye contact with customers, so I really should not have that many drinks being messed up when it is such a new location. I really REALLY shouldn't have been told "oh the managers can only be contacted in the mornings" either. I've never seen an establishment, especially a brand new one, not have a manager during daylight hours (or at least until 5pm). The final thing is the WAY you get treated by employees depending on how much you are willing to converse with them. I had gone nearly every day for a week before someone handed me a bingo card started 5 days before when I ordered a coffee that counted for a stamp on said card. Then I was told to call a manager to ask about rectifying that I already nearly achieved my free drink if I could get back the stamps I should have received during the cards duration. I tested to see and kept my card hidden in my car until the last second and the day I got the card was the only day any one single employee mentioned it to me... I'm sorry but what? If I had tipped would I have been asked if I received a bingo card yet? I've had to bring it up every time since I've gotten it if I need a stamp. Nobody asking if I would like a card. This store is extremely inconsistent and it's really depressing. People keep complaining about costs but I wouldn't mind ANY of the costs if they could just be made and served in a NORMAL manner. I think this store is pushing the "we have friendly employees" thing a JUST a little too hard, and I'm sure other customers would disagree with me, but it's hard to say as I've never had Scooter's before it moved to Eau Claire and as I said I don't like to have to small talk for 2-4 minutes to get a coffee I already paid for 15 minutes beforehand and had to wait in line still to receive. I have yet to try 7Brew because I care about the QUALITY of my coffee more than anything, but based off of reviews that will be the next place I will try, before going back to Cabin coffee for "running late coffe emergencies" and waking up earlier to brew at home. I truly wish Scooter's could work out the kinks and actually give me the coffees I order without all the extra expected chit chat about where I work and what my plans for the day are or if I have kids and pets. They ask more than a hair stylist so if you're an introvert be prepared to be a little sad before you get that...
Read moreI will never be going to any Scooter’s ever again after my trip this morning. The Eau Claire location has ruined Scooter’s for me and I will be making sure none of my family or friends go to one. This morning I got to Scooter’s for my coffee (recently have been going to 7 brew instead) and was met by a younger woman who was standing outside IN THE FREEZING COLD RAIN to take my order. On top of this poor thing being forced to awkwardly stand out there while I was looking at the menu, she started shivering and then struggled to tap the iPad with her numb fingers. After seeing how “great” the management has been treating their employees, I went up to the window to get my (very overpriced) latte and breakfast burrito. As I settled into the drive, I opened up my burrito wrapper and quickly began to notice the absolutely disgusting bunch of crusted and burnt food on the bottom of my burrito. It honestly made me gag. As soon as I got to work I completely threw away my drink and burrito noting to post a review later and that this location does NOT care about representing a trusted brand. The fact that I was even handed that burrito is disgraceful. It has become very clear to me that the Eau Claire Scooter’s location treats it’s employees poorly and refuses to clean and operate a successful business, and they will not be getting any money from me or my circle of...
Read moreI have a couple comments about this place. First of all, I got a peanut butter power and my drink came out the window completely filled with ice. I asked to have it reblended and still ended up with full chunks of ice in my drink. Also, curious as to why there is always someone standing outside taking orders? 1, it’s getting colder out and that’s not really looking out for your employee health. 2, is your speaker broken everyday?, and 3 it just makes it look like your employees are thrown out there for no reason. As someone who was a new customer, it made it hard to look at the menu and really awkward when one of the employees is just standing there waiting for me. I understand if there is a really long line or if the speaker is broken, but if not, you might as well just send the employees home. Will definitely stick with 7 brew and Starbucks, as they have such a flawless process and great,...
