First, I love the aesthetics of this coffee shop. It is a great place to hole away and get work done or have a conversation with a friend. There is ample seating.
I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and honestly I didn't expect to enjoy it since I assumed they used Monin or Torani neither of which I enjoy. So imagine my surprise when I took the first sip and found it to be a DELICIOUS latte! I asked the barista what syrup they use, and it turns out they make their own! It was perfectly blended, and I found out that they shake their latte to achieve that effect, unlike most coffee shops that simply swirl to mix, if that. The coffee itself is also amazing.
My husband ordered an iced tea and was going to add in agave. The barista suggested that he add in honey instead of the agave with the particular tea he selected, and he followed her advice. After he took the first step, he knew she was absolutely right. His tea was wonderful with the honey.
Finally, I was struck by the friendliness of both the other customers and the staff, and that it was a welcoming environment for my toddler. I brought my 19 month old daughter with me, and when we walked in an elderly gentleman/fellow customer greeted us so warmly and invited my daughter to pet his dog. He was so sweet! There was a bin of sanitized toys for my little one to play with. There are also crayons and coloring books, and games for adults too. Highly...
Read moreThis is my new favorite cafe in EP. Spacious, nice vibe, delicious coffee. They have the faux fireplaces, white subway tile, and hip furniture choices.
The food is okay. Their egg white sandwich was nice.
I tried their maple latte and vanilla latte, half sweet. So pleasant. So delicious
I brought my laptop and worked there from 9am to 3pm. They provide fresh water and their bathroom is clean and well kept. They have a ton of work station options: bar height tables and chairs, multiple lounge areas, regular table and chairs, booths... There were enough outlets too. If you need to take a short stroll, they have a huge parking lot to take a lap. I didn't explore too much so I'm sure there are more walking trails around.
It's connected to Wooddale, so people are walking past the cafe, coming and going, and meeting there. You will occasionally see a group praying together, doing Bible study, or occasionally overhear a conversation about Christ.
Staff is polite and welcoming
If you are a Christian, this is the place to go!!
I will definitely...
Read moreAt this point, you could say I'm a bit of a regular. The coffee is fantastic; period. Everything from just the brewed coffee to the the changing list of specialty drinks are the best cup in the area. But, honestly the excellent coffee is but the foam on your latte. The real treat is the staff and the atmosphere. Everyone from the leads like Luke or Kim, down to the individual baristas are all a joy to see and converse with when I get my daily fix. The atmosphere is great if you've got work to do, looking to meet up with someone, or you just want to hangout and read a book.
Lucky to have such a spot located just down the road from the office. If you're in the area, skip the Caribou or the Starbucks down the road. You won't be...
