Jan & Lib's Hi-Tops Lounge — Restaurant in Edgewater

This was my husband and I hangout fot 12 years. We went on the weekends to listen to the bands. We enjoyed the food , company and atmosphere until I was accosted by a bartender and made to leave the building. I was assaulted, my hair pulled ,knocked on the floor and punched. I ended up with a concussion and black eye. I called the police when I got home.Libby refused to call me back or even look at the tape from that night. The man in the kitchen during the day that answered the phone when I called was so nasty. When I went in to speak with her she told me to get out and never come back and when I said I have been a patron for many years she said I was not. I just think it's sad to treat patrons like that and side with a bartender that was a felon and that ended up getting fired for an unrelated matter anyway. I wandered into this Pub last weekend to watch a band called Max Q. What a fantastic little Pub. Everyone is so sociable, so welcoming, so much fun. It is smoke friendly which would be my only complaint as I am a non-smoker. But on the dance floor it's okay. During the breaks you can sneak outside to the picnic tables for a bit of fresh air so it does make it doable for all. Definitely one of my favorite new little places to dance the night away. My first time in the establishment. It got pretty busy average age was forties and up. Food was excellent I had a New York strip and my friend had wings we had the potato skins bacon. The band Max Q was playing they were very good a very entertaining and very approachable! What are those establishments that have gotten grandfathered in with smoking. If you're a smoker who likes to eat and not have to go outside to do so this is your place! LOL.
