Nando’s Tacos — Restaurant in Edgewater

This food truck is honestly such a hidden gem! 💕 Yesterday I was craving Mexican food around 3pm (they close at 3), and since my boyfriend is in a wheelchair, it usually takes us a little longer to get places. I called the number listed here and a super sweet girl picked up right away. She literally said, “Don’t worry, we’ll wait for you!” 🥹 We pulled up around 3:10 and they still took our order with the biggest smiles.

The owner was there and was so excited to have us—seems like his wife is the one cooking. They’re both just the sweetest. The menu is small, prices are super fair, and you can tell it’s made with love.

Food-wise: the Carnitas Burrito = AMAZING. Like, hands down the best rice I’ve ever had. Carnitas were juicy and tender, veggies super fresh—10/10. The Al Pastor tacos were good but we wished they had a little more flavor. My boyfriend said more salsa roja + a little pineapple sweetness would make them perfect. For us, 7/10.

Overall, we LOVED it. I’m Latina and I really love supporting local Latin-owned small businesses, and this family is just so hardworking, kind, and welcoming. Definitely coming...

Went to this new food truck today but didn't come 😔 but my parents bought leftovers I must say this was the best Mexican food I had and it tasted home style...
