Naval Bagels is now in Edgewater! Originally near Graulās Market in Annapolis. They also have one in Arnold Maryland. I wanted to post this earlier, but sometimes life just gets busy. 𤪠Anyway, this shop is located on Solomons Island Road on the left-hand side going south in a little strip mall just after the Crab Shack and before Dominoās Pizza in Goodwill industries. Itās a small joint! Doesnāt need to be big, bagels are their thing! Lots of choices when it comes to bagels, they make sandwiches and you can get the bagels toasted, by themselves with cream cheese, plain etc. We got the Flagel Chegba with deli ham and the Flagel Jefe! They were good! Oh, and just in case if youāre not in on the slang of Flagle is a flat bagel. I actually found out about these guys when I was in New York City last year.
The food is good. Iāve only tried a few so far⦠Not much atmosphere. Most people are quick in and outers unless if you got a minute to sit and eat.
They have breakfast and lunch bagels and can put just about any thing on it that you like! All kinds of meat choices for sandwiches and egg choices for breakfast. They have a very large menu of choice!
Although Iāve only been there once I could say that, Iām sure I will be back.
A lot of their customers are from Edgewater, so when they moved there, it made it easy for them to get to this location as opposed to going into Annapolis!
They also have a selection of drinks. And as far as bagel flavors go, here are a fewā¦
Plain, Cinnamon Raisin, Sesame, Poppy, Blueberry, 6 Grain, Cheese, Old Bay, Egg, Super Egg, Pumpernickel, Pumpernickel Everything, Everything, Onion, Salt, Garlic, Spinach, Jalapeno, Super Jalapeno 6 Grain Everything
So if you get a chance and youāre in Edgewater and looking for a quick breakfast, a different breakfast to the usual sit down, or something to eat for lunch/brunch, this is a quick and easy option. Tell āem Jack Julius from Google reviews sent you. See you in the next review! šØāš³š...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI grew up on long island where going to the bagel store was a regular occurrence. When I moved down to Maryland and I was still visiting my parents on long island, I would take a dozen bagels and fresh made strawberry cream cheese back to MD with me.
I wouldn't say these are NY quality but they are darn close.
I wish they had the bagels in a serious glass deli counter in the front with all the fresh home made cream cheeses in bulk so they would scoop them out into a container when you order. that's how they do it where I'm from. it can be hard to see what bagels they have when they are behind the counter against the back wall. their cream cheeses are pre-measured and in a cooler near the window so I don't think they get the attention they deserve.
We have so many great breakfast places in Edgewater now, it is hard to choose which to go to...and I don't have to bother going into Annapolis which is so nice.
When I first wrote this review the place was tiny but they have since expended into a dining room in the space next door and I think that was...
Ā Ā Ā Read more8/23 WOW now these are true Bagels! Stopped in to try the bagels now that I no longer go to the other bagels due to quality and lack of caring by employees whether you buy or not. That said, my experience was great ended up with 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese for the road and a bag of day olds to take him. They were just as good. They seem to still be working out how they take orders some people got numbers others didnāt (like me) the place is small so they found me easily to hand over my order. They were making so yummy looking bagel sandwiches toasted and not and the freezers had cream cheese (all kinds) in various sizes as well as yogurts and fruit cups and I canāt forget coffee! Its a carry out place but that said, the other bagel places in the area are still holding firm with no eating inside due to COVID and Iād rather have good quality bagels and nice employees than a place to sit. Gotta give Naval...
