NewDa Noodles 牛大（兰州牛肉面） — Restaurant in Edison

My girlfriend found NewDa Noodles because of their free appetizer promotion for students so we decided to give it a try and were absolutely satisfied with our experience.

The food was absolutely delicious, we got the scallion oil noodles and the spicy cold noodles, both of which came out with incredibly generous portions for the price that they are. We also got the popcorn chicken which was my personal favorite, and the cucumber salad which was also really good.

The service was incredible, the server was very kind and very quick with providing service, and even packed our leftovers for us.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First of all, the server who took our order didn’t ask if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies. As a result, my noodles came with cilantro, which I can’t eat, and I had to order a new bowl. Then another male server took over, and it only got worse—he seemed very slow to understand even simple requests. I had to repeat myself multiple times before he finally got it and acted on it. I was born and raised in the region where this specific food originated so here’s my honest feedback: The beef noodle was 7/10-not bad but also not super impressive. I guess it’s good enough For the region and local market. The Lanzhou Liangpi however was not it. I could give it a 2/10. Texture was way off-too much gluten left in the noodle and it tastes like gooey, funky slime. Would not recommend this...
