Came here for lunch. There was only one person working in the entire place, placed my order on the kiosk, got my number and sat and waited. Over 15 min later my number was still not called, went up to the counter and the one employee said it would be a couple more minutes. About 10 minutes later my number gets called for most of my food, popcorn chicken was still not ready. Brought the food back to the table, the wings were small and not hot. The chicken sandwich was well cooked, but not hot either. None of the fried chicken has a crisp crunch to it. Flavor was lackluster. The employee brought the popcorn chicken out to the table with a complementary order of fries as an apology for the wait. The popcorn chicken was hot, but unfortunately still lacked the crunch it should have had. It feels like a quality product could be made here, the potential was there, but there is an extreme lack of effort to provide a quality product, rather accepting mediocrity seems to be the acceptable answer in this establishment. The price points were completely reasonable, about 10$ a person for a meal. If you insist on trying the food here, I would definitely recommend going on a weekend lunch or dinner rush. If there is an increase order volume (which I don't know if there is) maybe the food will be fresher, but overall I can't recommend...
Read moreI've heard from a friend saying there's a Chinese fried chicken and burger place in Edison, so we tried.
Location: on rt 27, small plaza, enough parking. Easy to find.
Service: nice and polite. 5% off if pay in cash. Make sure you bring coins if you have them, took them forever to give me back my change.
Good: we ordered 2 piece, which was dry. I do like the flavor tho. We also ordered the chicken burger meal, spicy version, which was the best item we had. Juicy chicken, lots of lettuce, and was delicious. Because how good that chicken burger was, we decided to order the pineapple beef burger. I was thinking they have good chicken burger, and the photo of that beef burger looked amazing, why not give it a try. Big mistake! Big, big mistake! We didn't take a photo of the chicken but did for the beef burger. It was nothing like the picture. The pineapples weren't grilled, just straight out of a can, the meat tasted and looked like it was boiled, not grilled. They give you can soda for meals so no ice. The French fries were very thin ones and soggy.
Price: in this market, not too bad. About $5 for 2 pieces, $7-10 for just burgers and $12ish for meals.
Overall: I'll be back for that chicken burger, probably...
Read moreLike many places on Rt. 27, this is very easy to pass by and miss. Like many places on Rt. 27, it is quite good. They make some of the best chicken sandwiches and fried chicken in the area. I think where they shine is in the texture of their sandwiches and chicken. There is a lot of bite and heft to their food, which I personally prefer. Other offerings in the area might have more of a crunch, but the offerings here are super hearty. I'd also recommend grabbing this for karaoke since it's really close to some of the only options in the area.
The dine-in experience is very self explanatory. Nothing really to write about. The place is cute, but the lighting is a bit too cool and sterile for me to imagine it being a nice date spot or anything. If you just want to sit down and kill some time with someone while you eat pretty good chicken, it...
