Billy Sims BBQ — Restaurant in Edmond

Billy Sims offers a military discount which is awesome. Their food is delicious and affordable, especially for BBQ in the Edmond area. Their baked potatoes are one of the best in town, if not the best and the potatoes are all of a large size. The majority of other restaurants in Edmond have small sized potatoes. If ordering a To Go baked potato, make sure to request that they put the toppings on the potato and not separately on the side. We have noticed that if the toppings are not added right after the potato has been cut open then it tends to dry out some before the butter and sour cream can soften the potato up some more. Their pulled pork and chopped brisket is delicious. Every now and then you might get a dry batch but generally the meat is tender and moist. My wife loves their polish sausage and macaroni and cheese. If you are looking for more bang for your buck then I'd recommend getting 2 or 3 sliders. The meat portions are generous, the buns are soft and usually 3 sliders are enough to fill me up. I recently visited this Billy Sims Barbecue location for dinner with my wife and four-year-old son. While our overall experience was very positive, I have to make special mention of the four young men who were working the counter. These individuals were warm and attentive to their customers and obviously took pride in how their job performances reflected on them personally. They were able to enjoy each other’s company and to practice a bit of levity without diminishing the quality or pace of their work. They appeared to enjoy being of service to others, and not once did their demeanors appear as anything but sincere. At risk of sounding sentimental, I need to convey the sense I had that our future will depend upon the character of young men like these. They are a credit to their employers and to our community as a whole. I've gotten food at Billy Sims over the last 10 years being in Edmond but this was the first visit that was kind of horrible I got home and the food was not as good as all the other visits the girl at the window looks sick and disgusted. And I really would like to have corporate know but any other time I visit. There are this Zach Dude and A Kemper dude. I don't know if they still work over there but they need to get them dudes back that's why the place is selling more barbecue because of them. They have good customer service and the food had always been good when those people are working but today it was not good. And I was also served onions and pickles and I've never ever had that before from Billy Sims every time I've ordered the same stuff I've never received that but today I did and it was nasty a lot of onions and pickle.
