To start off - The Chelino's I know of the past has been one of my favorite Mexican / Tex-mex restaurants for many years, and has a history of providing fast, affordable, and great food quality for many years for me and my family. I have eaten at many of the different Chelinos' locations, and overall most of the locations are managed well - with one major exception. My wife & I live in Edmond, OK and have been quite dissatisfied with both the food quality, and the service every time we've eaten at the Edmond location for about the last 10-12 months (at least 15-20 visits). Number one - it seems as though they have forgotten what it means to serve the customer. Every time we visit the restaurant we feel like they can't wait for us to woof our food down so that they can get the next customer seated. As a general rule the hostess tries to take your drink order at the same time you're being greated - and seems to become irritated if you don't know what you want to drink before she gets you to your table! Secondly, it seems as though even during the slow times of the day there are never the necessary condiments at the table (Butter, honey, sweeteners, etc). The last time my wife & I visited the Edmond location we had the manager tell us that they quit stocking milk or creamer because they expired too quickly - and even attempted to insist on putting whipping cream in my wife's coffee! As far as I'm concerned, until this restaurant gets new management - my family won't be back! In my opinion, a good restaurant should "try" to treat all their customers with professionalism and pride in the restaurant if they want them to continue coming back. (Which seems to be missing at the moment) They should strive to achieve high customer service, good food quality, and a relaxing atmosphere. There's really no reason why the customer should continue to receive cold food and poor service on a continual basis. My suggestion (if you have to have Chelinos) is to go to a...
Read moreVisit Date 4/22/2023, wife and I visited. Service was terrible. Waited for 5 to 8 minutes before we even got a menu. Ordered unsweet tea, and waiter kept saying sweet tea, had to keep remindng waiter. When we got condiments asked for relish, waiter said OK but never brought any. Took our order for double chicken fajitas, when the fajitas came out the onions were cool not even hot, and fajitas were room temp, the chicken fajitas had no flavor, it was just like they took chicken breast and cooked it on the flat top. Ranchero beans are nto what they used to be, this time it was just like beens they cooked in a crock pot with no peppers or anything else in them. Also when he brought the fajitas out I asked for more ice tea, again he said sweet tea and I told him unsweet. He never came back around and never brought my tea back, after we were about done eating, I finally caught him and asked if he planned on bringing my tea back. He then told me that had to make some and he was waiting on it. He could have at least came by and let me know they had to make some, instead I waited through the entire meal and had to ask him before I got an answer. Bad part was he stood across the room talking to other employees during this time. Previously the month before I stopped by for lunch fajitas, they brought them out and there was only one single piece of green pepper on the fajitas, not two but a single small piece. At this time I asked the waitress for more peppers, since the menu stated pepper(s) and not pepper, she did bring me additional peppers out. These two visits occurred in the past month, I have not been to this location in Edmond in well over a year, and will not...
Read moreThis seems to be my family‘s favorite place to go unfortunately it’s gone downhill in the last three or four weeks. Last time we went the service was horrible waitress took forever to come to our table and we ordered a to go and it took an hour to wait after we’re eating, the food was very dry and not even edible bites of my food and I couldn’t eat it because it wasn’t that good. They refused to even apologize. They didn’t even say anything about it and I said I don’t think I should pay for this cause I don’t want I didn’t eat this . I then went to the manager and the manager blatantly didn’t care at all. You could tell. I even told him I used to come here and the food quality and service has gone downhill dramatically and he said OK fine whatever. It’s sad to say that we will never be going back to this place again and I hope this place goes out of business if it stays on this track, they really need to get back on track. The food was horrible. The service sucked. They were rude pretty much everything you could possibly think of also they had a happy hour for margaritas and food but then when I asked why the margaritas were full price, he said oh that’s because only the first round is on special and the food wasn’t even though we were told it was this place is...
