I stopped by recently for a late lunch/early dinner. It was during the slow time and the owners were huddled around a table working out plans for a large upcoming catering event.

My first impression was how incredibly spotless this place was!!!

I ordered the Beef Shawarma Plate which came with hummus, pita bread, salad, hashwa and beef. It came out very quickly and everything was perfect and absolutely delicious; creamy hummus topped with a generous amount of olive oil, salad with one of the most delicious honey-mustard dressings I've ever had and, of course, expertly and perfectly seasoned hashwa and tender pieces of beef - all presented so beautifully that it could've been an art masterpiece. I asked about the salad dressing and was informed that it was Mama's secret recipe. I'm good with that - I just hope they bottle and sell it someday because I'll buy it by the gallon!!

A lot of restaurants boast that an owner is always on-site, but very few can say that the entire family is there! Take it from someone who used to cook at one of the most popular Mediterranean restaurants in town, for truly authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine at its finest in a very warm, friendly and accommodating family environment, you must, you MUST go to Oozie....and do so frequently! I'm counting the days when I'll be able to return, but the hardest part will be deciding which delicious item to order next.

A true local gem, Oozie is easy to find - between NW 11th & 12th St., just a block east of Classen Blvd on Shartel Avenue on the ground floor of the tall Physicians & Surgeons Building and there's plenty of convenient parking. Unfortunately, they are not open on the weekends, but do offer catering services during...

Stepping into Oozie Mediterranean Restaurant in Edmond is a genuine escape to the Mediterranean coast. From the moment you walk in, the owners greet you with a warmth that makes you feel more like a cherished guest than a customer. This welcoming atmosphere is matched by an impeccable standard of cleanliness; the dining area is spotless and bright, creating a comfortable and pleasant space to enjoy your meal.

The food itself is nothing short of sensational. Oozie's commitment to authentic Lebanese-Mediterranean cuisine shines through in every dish, crafted with truly fresh ingredients that burst with flavor. Whether you're enjoying their crisp falafels, the vibrant tabbouleh, or the tender beef shawarma, you can taste the quality and care in each bite.

True to European and Mediterranean dining traditions, the owners and staff follow a leisurely pace of service that is a breath of fresh air. Instead of being rushed, you are given all the time you need to savor your meal and conversation. The check is brought to you only when you ask for it, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy the experience without interruption. This unrushed, thoughtful approach perfectly complements the home-style, authentic flavors.

For a dining experience that offers an outstanding and authentic culinary journey, genuine hospitality, and a refreshingly relaxed pace, look no further than Oozie Mediterranean Restaurant. You will leave feeling completely satisfied and ready to plan...

If you’re on the hunt for an authentic Lebanese culinary adventure in Edmond, OK, look no further than OOZIE Mediterranean Restaurant. Nestled at 2851 W Edmond Rd, STE B, this family-owned gem opens its doors at 11:00 AM, ready to transport your taste buds straight to the Mediterranean.

As a haven for vegans and vegetarians, OOZIE offers a plethora of delectable options. I kicked off my early lunch with their Mujaddara Wrap—a delightful blend of cooked lentils and rice puréed to perfection, topped with caramelized onions, and enveloped in fresh mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, and their signature in-house dressing, all snugly wrapped in soft pita bread. When the friendly staff recommended I enjoy it as is, complete with their honey mustard sauce, I took their advice—and trust me, it’s a game-changer! Pro tip: Always heed the wisdom of the OOZIE team; they know their flavors.

The ambiance is as inviting as the menu, making it an ideal spot for both solo dining and gatherings. With operating hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, you’ve got ample opportunity to indulge. Whether you’re a devoted foodie or simply seeking a fresh and healthy meal, OOZIE Mediterranean Restaurant is a must-visit. I, for one, am already planning my return to savor their vegan cabbage rolls. Don’t just take my word for it—experience the rich, authentic flavors of Lebanon right here...

You ever eaten somewhere and the owner's genuinely want your opinion and feedback? We met him today, Charlie. Today we were the first customers to the newly opened Edmond location. I feel privileged to be the first one in with my boyfriend. We started with the Baba Ghanouj and Garlic Lebneh.. the chips they make and serve with these appetizers I could eat my weight in!! They are sprinkled with a seasoning called "get in me belly and can I get more" LOL! I ordered the Hashwa lunch platter and my boyfriend ordered the Beef Shawarma wrap combo. I ate until I hit the wall it is that good. The food is not heavy in salt or oils other than a tasty olive oil (I mean you're in a Lebanese restaurant the olive oil is delicious). Friends if you are like me and hearing the word tabbouleh then cringing.. you have to try theirs. The tabbouleh is fresh and you can taste the veggies and spices (there is nearly zero carbs... not a heavy Americanized version with all the grain). This a family owned restaurant and they care about the freshness and quality of the dishes. Do not eat here if you all you want is a "means to an end." DO eat here if you desire a great fresh meal in a comfortable setting with genuine vibes. Thank you Charlie for having the courage and foresight to move your beloved restaurant to Edmond from midtown. We will be back soon to try more dishes.

I would like to take a moment to share my experience with Oozie Mediterranean restaurant with yall and offer feedback to this family owned business. For starters, this restaurant is open with split hours. 11am-3pm (lunch) and 5pm-8pm (dinner) Parties larger than 6 must get a reservation, and I'm assuming to help keep the family staff from being overwhelmed. This was the first time in many years eating classic Mediterranean cuisine, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! Our party of 4 ordered (3) Oozies platters, Kibbeh balls, and 2 of their berry desserts. The flavors are amazing. Nothing was overwhelming. The tabbouleh does have a strong citrus and bitter flavor that some may not appreciate, but those looking for an authentic taste may. While the food was amazing, I have to say that I am absolutely amazed that this quality of food is served, made and at such a high quality from a primarily family business. The owner was clear that some items on the menu are not always available, so be sure to ask about them! I imagine cook times may vary depending on how busy they are, so prepare for that. I would most definitely recommend this place. Take your taste buds on an adventure and experience authentic Lebanese food, from a family that knows what they are doing!
