Talk about making us feel unwelcome right off the bat. My wife and I have been wanting to try The Lounge for a few years but never could because our kid was always in tow with us. So tonight we paid for an evening camp for our daughter so my wife and I could finally visit. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a really friendly blonde server/hostess who immediately pulled up our reservation, which we had requested a booth or table off to the side. I saw a few booths open and asked if we could sit at one of the full booths (not those half table booths where you seem to sit with another party). She immediately understood the request and was getting ready to seat us when some broccoli haired kid having a rough transition into manhood showed up and steamrolled the interaction, saying she couldn't seat us where she was planning. I inquired again about the booth and he said he couldn't honor the request because other reservations were made that specifically asked for booths. Confused, I asked what those guests had done differently than us in their reservations, given that we requested the same exact thing. He took a defensive tone saying he couldn't help us and eventually said that the larger booths were already reserved for groups of 4 (which made sense to me, honestly). Thankfully the blonde girl stepped back in to explain all we wanted was a full booth and they'd be able to seat us in one like we had asked. Broccoli Rob didn't seem to understand any of this without her help and just had a default demeanor of not wanting to accommodate anything, which pissed me off more than I'd expect. What a crap way to begin the evening.
What really catches me as an issue is a few minutes later, I realized that this guy had lied to us. Shortly after we were seated, another couple showed up and were seated in one of the larger booths that we were told were reserved by parties of 4 and thus the reason why we could not sit there. Evidently, this guy was just fabricating reasons why we couldn't be seated where originally planned, which is obviously an issue of integrity. We did a bit of planning for this evening and were glad to spend a lot of money here, so it burns to feel so unwelcome and unappreciated right off the bat in our first time dining here.
Aside from this guy, dinner was nice. Our server team was great and the food was excellent. Be forewarned, the drinks are overpriced and under-poured.
A recommendation to Broccoli Rob: next time your colleague is greeting a guest, let her finish seating them. She had our reservation under control and she is better at the job than you are. You don't need to dominate what she's doing and manage to piss off guests in the process.
So, would we come back to The Lounge again? Probably not. My wife is a killer cook so when we dine out, we go out for the full experience, not just for good food. For us, the experience just wasn't there thanks to one...
Read moreAbsolutely horrific experience, from beginning to an (abbreviated) end. Start off by making a reservation for 7:45. Arrived by 7:15 to check in and let them know we were here if anything opened up early. Unfortunately did not get seated until about 8.
Ordered drinks with a very friendly waiter (Cameron) who took the order but did not deliver them. He was just there to introduce himself and let us know we had another waiter. The drinks were delivered by our main waiter who immediately realized after he poured my wife's glass of wine that the glass was filthy and replaced it a couple minutes later. Unfortunately, that glass was filthy too and he was quick to leave the table before we could speak up. We did get a waiter come over and get it replaced again, which our main server brought back, finally with a clean glass.
And what about my drink you ask? Well, that came in a cracked glass tumbler. Yes, 2 filthy wine glasses, one cracked tumbler.
We ordered an appetizer (toast points) which came out, but the host that brought us to the table never brought the napkins and utensils as promised, and neither did our waiter, so it took another 5 mins after we got our appetizer to actually enjoy it.
The meal. We order it by 8:15, and we're told by the menu it would take 30 minutes. At 9 we asked a manager about our food and he came back a few minutes later and stated it would take another 5 mins. We were done. We told them we needed to leave to pick up our son, and would not be waiting. The manager did not apologize or anything and dropped the bill on the table for all drinks, appetizer, etc. We left and will never be back.
What an awful, unorganized, unsanitary establishment and a true waste of time on what was supposed to be a nice date night. We at least had a good laugh or two about it on the way home, but would not wish this...
Read moreIt was amazing. Our server Jordan was wonderful and so sweet. She really made us feel as if we were VIP guests or something. I got the mango margarita it was so good. It does come with a salted rim which throws off the sweetness of the drink so the 2nd one I ordered I requested no salt and it was perfect. For the meal we started with onion rings with the house ranch. The batter had the perfect amount of crispyness and the dressing was creamy with a slight kick. So good. For the entree I got the grilled onion burger minus the onions. The burger was so juicy and big I had to cut it in half. My spouse got the mushroom Swiss Burger and he said it was really good. Both burgers came with fries and they we just right. Jordan came over took our plates when we were done and boxed up our left overs for us. A really cool thing is if you want you can buy a round of beers for the kitchen for $12. I loved this idea because most places you can't really show appreciation to the kitchen. When you do buy a round they ring a bell and the whole kitchen starts cheering. It's really has a calm vibe there. Not loud like a bar. So it's perfect for us. We really enjoyed our experience and will...
