This is my husband’s very favorite teriyaki restaurant. We lived pretty close for many years and it was a sad day when we bought a home further away. We live about 30 minutes away now, were in the area, so we had to stop by.
They still have the best gyoza I’ve ever had in my life! Perfectly crispy and the filling is sooooo tasty!! They use a brown paper bag as a container for takeout to put them in, and they’ve solved the problem of keeping them crisp and fresh! I got the beef teriyaki and ate the entire thing. That was a first for me. The beef is thin shredded pieces, with that great touch of char here and there. And I could go on for days about their perfect rice. I can’t stop thinking about it.
I really recommend you support this hard working local business. The owner has been working the counter there tirelessly for many years and she is just so sweet! It was nice to return and see her familiar face.
Fortunately I have appointments weekly for several months nearby so we will be able to become...
Read moreThe hostess had the audacity to give me food that was returned DURING A PANDEMIC! My order was gone when I stepped back in the restaurant to pick it up. the hostess had told me they'd make it again. When I saw a lady come back with a bag of food and the hostess taking it to the back, I had doubts but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She grabbed the returned food, went back in the kitchen, helped a customer at the register and gave me my order. We were eerie about it and when we opened the take out boxes, the food was cold AND HAD BEEN MOVED AROUND...
I called and she admitted to giving me the returned food. But what doesn't sit right with me is that she decided to pretend that it was not returned and fresh when I was in the restaurant.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this careless establishment. The signs about caring for their customers during the pandemic is bogus. It would also not be acceptable in normal circumstances but even more so as we are dealing...
Read more0 STARS if I could. We went there tonight and I noticed a 10 cent charge. When I asked what it was for, he said soy sauce and gave us a tiny packet. He then yelled out at us that they are the least expensive teriyaki place. We paid and then noticed the tables behind us all had bottles of soy sauce on them. The person I was with asked why we couldn't just use that soy sauce instead of paying for a tiny packet. He said, it was only for people eating in the restaurant. So, we just took the bottle and dumped it over our food in the box. He then became enraged and was ranting about being the least expensive teriyaki place. The person I was with said they were not and he literally kept arguing saying yes they were. Then a woman came out and yelled "GO SOMEWHERE ELSE." I guess they don't care about their customers anymore and could care less if you go somewhere else. Oh and all of this was after they attempted to charge us also for a 15 cent bag. Nickeling and diming...
