I know how hard restaurants work on keeping their ratings up so I am definitely giving 5 stars, however, this past Friday I did not have a pleasant visit. I do visit quite often & this has been the one and only time I didn’t have an enjoyable visit. I went through the drive thru & ordered a grilled chicken meal & two cheeseburger kids meal. I used one of the kids meal custard tokens & told them I didn’t want to use the other one since it’s for my niece & she wasn’t able to eat her custard right then & there. I get to the payout window & this lady hands me my drinks & custard. The custard I received had the smallest scoop I have ever received from there, it was about 1/3 of what they usually give me. It’s no big deal since I’m sure maybe in the past someone was just really generous & gave out bigger scoops (the kids appreciate you) but when I asked the lady working the window if that was a full scoop she gave major attitude & said “YUP THAT’S ONE SCOOP” then she shut the window & said nothing else, didn’t even ask me to pull forward. I went ahead and pulled forward since she slapped the number on my mirror.. when my food was brought out to me I asked the lovely gentleman, who brought it, if he knew the name of the girl working that window. He told me her name is Tasha & she is part of management… with knowing that information I really hope this lady was just having an off day. When I got to my niece to give her the food I got her, she noticed the custard token on her bag was gone so I checked my sons bag to see if maybe his was still attached… nope… they took off both of the custard tokens. Needless to say, my niece got super emotional (she’s only 5). No worries though, a Dairy Queen cone saved the day! Overall, the food was amazing!!! The management, not so much. I took videos of everything but I can only upload pictures so here are some...
Read moreWell, this would have been a five star review, until our second interaction with the owner. Chris Debolt was working the register, and took our initial order. When we finally got our food, we realized one of the sandwiches had been made without bacon. Since we had ordered by saying "I'll have the same thing" instead of naming the sandwich, this seemed like a minor mistake, easily resolved. However, the owner, who we spoke to for the replacement sandwich, chose to make it a money-making venture. He insisted he had to charge an additional 50 cents, since the sandwich was ordered incorrectly. It seems petty to lose an otherwise fabulous customer interaction over 50 cents. :-( Otherwise, the restaurant did a great job with a very busy holiday lunch hour. We stopped by on our way across i-70, to find the line out the door, both for the restrooms and for the cashiers. The staff were friendly. It really did take more than ten minutes to get food orders, but at least the food was yummy and amazing, once we paid the extra money for the correct sandwich! Update: Aaaand I'm even less impressed after actually bringing a couple of things to the owner's attention today. My husband asked, as we've done at other stores, whether the kids could cash in their ice cream coupons at the counter without waiting in the 15 minute line. They were told they'd have to wait. When I told Mr debold that we've seen many stores where it's done differently, and especially where a 50 cent difference would have been a non-issue, he repeatedly defended the rules and wouldn't admit that there were even other options available. I tried to get my husband not to come back here today, but I'm pretty sure I can win that battle next time. Gggrrr!! Try a different Culver's that's less hung up on rules and prefers...
Read moreWe come through the drive thru consistently about twice a week. Normally in the earlier part of the day the food is good and exactly what we order. But the nights are getting rough with whoever runs them. Ordered a single deluxe without onion, but it still had onion on it. Ordered well done fries just to wait 20+ minutes and have 5 cars pass us, and they weren’t even well done. Might as well still been a full potato. My brother who was behind us got his fries actually well done and he left 10+ minutes before we got our food. And one of the fries on our order wasn’t even in the bag. Very very poor and pathetic for what was the “best” restaurant in town. This happens every other week at bare minimum. I’d consider you in the same range as McDonald’s at best as much as orders get messed up and as long as it takes to get a simple order. Wisconsin’s Culvers makes this place look like a hospital cafeteria on their good day. Could not be more disappointed to say the least to see yet again fast food workers can’t even do their simple job. Came through culvers again today 9/13/23 even after being told I was banned through a chain of people from this restaurant. My girlfriend Mariah who knows the owners personally got her sandwich and it was COLD. The fries we ordered well done, not even close. There’s usually a wait that we expect since we get them well done but this time we didn’t wait but a couple minutes. Got our food ahead of two or three cars actually. How hard is it to read a screen that everyone can see. Especially when the OWNERS are there, anyone would expect more. You guys got offended and said I was banned because i related this place to McDonald’s but seriously. McDonald’s food would’ve came out better at this time of the day when they’re super busy, I go to both...
