I recently had the pleasure of dining at Los Amigos in Effingham, IL, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the most inviting atmosphere.

The menu at Los Amigos offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes, making it nearly impossible to choose just one. However, after our server's insightful recommendations, I decided on the Carne Asada, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The dish was cooked to perfection, with tender and flavorful meat that melted in my mouth. The accompanying rice, beans, and guacamole were equally delectable, and I found myself savoring every bite.

Abemar pleas perfect as he always is!! If you love quacamole you have to try the version that is larges, avocados are cubes and this is delicious!!! You really can't go wrong no matter what you order!!

We had lunch and Abemar was awesome! we had lunch special - pick 2. we had the pork tamales with special sauce!!! & also the Carnitas (which are always perfect!!). You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Abemar is consistently wonderful. He makes sure everything is perfect!!! The chips are to die for as is anything we have ever ordered!!!

This is a wonderful place to enjoy a tasty meal. They have a large menu, so it's difficult to choose....but we have never been disappointed!!

Here we go. On the road again. 3 hours in to a 5 hour trip we started to get a little hungry. We found this place not too far from the highway. Of course we tried the shrimp cocktail. Gotta try that. It was pretty good. Only complaint is the shrimp were not in the juice. They came on the rim of the glass. So the flavor wasn’t quite there. The juice was rather good. I went with the carnitas. Absolutely fantastic. My wife had pollo Felix . Grilled chicken and shrimp covered in cheese. It seems like a lot of things are covered in cheese here. My son had the queso birria. He gave a it 4.5 out of 5....
