I like Wawa generally speaking. I didn't realize that you have to use your "Wawa app" to get credit or use a barcode on a plastic strip that you can ask for to get "WaWa Rewards" I've probably spent $250 there easily each month between gas and food as I'm a frequent customer. But not having them even ask me to show my rewards app on my phone has cost me quite a few "free rewards gifts opportunities"... that I would have gotten for spending so much money. I buy all my gas there and that's at least $100 a month recently and exclusively bought gas from Wawa for the last 5 years and get a cup of coffee and whatever as I live just down the street. I'm a little disappointed in that. There's no sign there either. It's as if they don't want you to get the reward almost. I thought it was more important in this review to mention what you won't get if you don't use their application then what they have in the store or if their Sizzlers are great or the bathrooms are clean. You'll lose significant money, food to eat and whatever else they may have when you spend your cash there if they don't scan the application...
Read moreProbably one of the worst Wawa's I have ever been too. It is brand new, but my roll was stale. In NJ plastic bags are banned but mobile orders have paper bags. I walked in to pick up my order of multiple items, and was handed my sandwiches. None of the other items. The person behind the counter even said "oh you are a mobile order so you get... Here are you sandwiches." No paper bag. There is always a line. Not because the are busy.. they are... But at 5 am. There are three customers in the store and they are all waiting in line. I haven't tried the rest rooms yet. Judging by the staff I imagine they haven't been cleaned since they opened.
Even the gas attendants are not immune. I stopped to get gas and three other cars pulled in after me but we're closer to the attendant. So she gassed all of them first.
If you are driving, head down the road. The staff at the next Wawa east is excellent, they have been there for years and the only time there is a wait for checkout, someone comes up and opens...
Read moreI went to Wawa tonight to order 2 frozen coffees and 3 orders of mozzarella sticks for my family. IDK what the lady's name was but I was then fat shamed for ordering mozzarella sticks. She said" you know there is 5 in a bag right?? That means 15 all together!" I told her yes and I definitely understood that she was annoyed that I was ordering at all, thinking that fat shaming would make me change my mind or something. After that I felt uncomfortable and had my husband go in for me who she is always kind to. And she had never put my order that I paid for in. No apologies just gave us an extra order for our trouble. I'm more upset at her trying to humiliate me then forgeting my order entirely. Guess we'll be go to hammonton if we can help it...
