Pizza Hut — Restaurant in El Cajon

To briefly describe my interaction with this particular Pizza Hut, I hated it. I had had pizza from this one before but I had never paid. Tonight I paid for dinner and as if on cue, everything about the experience was poor. To be thorough, here's why I say that: Upon pulling up I noticed one delivery driver was sat in the delivery vehicle next to me doing nothing but browsing social media (Per my passengers, he did this for the next 10 or so minutes following our arrival). Upon walking in no-one was manning the register and it took me having to get the staff's attention in order for them to come up from.. God knows where. Eventually a young man came to the register to serve me, he didn't look as though he even worked there though which was unsatisfying, concerning, and confusing to say the least. I had recently gotten paid so I only had hundreds on me, as fate would have it they didn't have the proper bills to break my 100 so I accepted that and went to the VONS next door to break it. After returning I gave them the proper change and took my pizzas. I got home and noticed that the pizza was so greasy that during the trip home the grease had leaked THROUGH the box... and left a stain on my passenger's jeans, roughly the size of a flip phone. The whole experience was pretty bad but I put it behind me and tried to enjoy some pizza with my friends. A few pieces in and everything seemed fine... Until one of my friends found a hair on their pizza.. We all examined the hair and there's no way it belonged to any of us. I'd had enough and decided I would be "that guy", and so, I called the Pizza Hut and asked to speak with the manager. After explaining what had happened the manager said that if I brought in the receipt they would reimburse me the cost of the pizzas... Via Pizza Hut credit.😒 I hung up on them and am going back in tomorrow to get my $22 back. I have eaten at other Pizza Huts where a near identical incident has happened so I can't say I'm surprised. Ultimately, Pizza Hut sucks and I'm never ordering from them again. Unfortunately it took this final ordeal for me to notice that. Clearly this doesn't speak for the whole Pizza Hut company or the good workers who are stuck with a bad bunch but if you want to play it safe... Learn from me and don't buy Pizza Hut if you...

I've tried calling last week and so did my sister, but they would answer then put us on hold or hang up on us. But since we're craving pizza Hut this week too, I tried to place an order online and call to confirm the order. They finally answered the line when you press that you have a pending order, not new order is what we noticed. So I confirmed my order and got there before I had requested for pickup. The guy who helped me was friendly. He answered my questions about the new item in the menu they have and because he said it's good, I added it to my order with his help. I told him I would have to go next door to get groceries, but I parked in the pickup. He said it wasn't a problem because he can bring it out to my sister who is waiting on the car. So, I went next door, did my shopping and came back. Less than 8 minutes later after coming back, and he came to give us our dinner to the car. It smelled delicious. Wasn't greasy. Both my Dad and I split the new pizza item. Looks like a crusty pizza and folded in half. We enjoyed it so much that we wanted another one. The breadsticks were good too. I am not sure if they were supposed to be cut into lines, but mine were all together. Either way, everything tasted delicious and we finished it all. I just hope they would answer the phone more often so we can enjoy their pizza more. I included a picture of the pizza which was not greasy....

This store is awesome from day one visit to last night where we had one of the best customer service from a young woman who took our request at splitting the check to pay 2 ways with a smile suggested a better way to go about it and made our picking up or order fun and pleasant as it could be, The food was perfectly cooked ,hot and exactly what we ordered. Offering us napkins and plates was a awesome surprise with most fast food establishments having huge signs that state if you don't ask for condiments, napkins, straws ect you don't get them nor do they ask you as they shoving the product in your face closing the window. So being asked if items are needed was really great. Again above and beyond at this store seems to be the motto ,something that is hard to find more and more these days.Bravo Bravo Bravo to Pizza Hut Alvarado Ave EL Cajon Ca to their great staff, great food and great service.
