I ordered from Banda for the first time. I just wanted to try something new, and their menu looked HELLA solid. They were also running a promo for a free breakfast burrito so I figured hey, why not? I ordered the "El Bandacoa Combo" with chips and queso, and the "Nacho Abuela's Nachos." To start with: the portion for the nachos was extremely small, given the price. I also did not receive my order of chips alongside my burrito, just the queso. The box the chips came in wasn't even 1/4 of the way full and looked absolutely nothing like its advertised picture / portion. The barbacoa in the burrito was dry and bland. It was extremely tastless. I hate to say this because I dislike the joint, but even something like Chipotle has better barbacoa. Not to mention: The wait time. Yep, here it is. Maybe not the icing on the cake, but some form of topper. I put my order in, and it took an hour and a half to get out. An hour and a half for extremely underwhelming and overpriced food.
So, with a heavy heart and empty stomach, I give this 1 star review. If you want a better burrito, you'll very unironically find it at chipotle. Or if you want more authentic mexican food, go to Silva's in El Cajon. This place isn't worth the investment of time and, in the ice soup economy, this isn't worth the...
Read moreI really like this new Mexican Eatery. I stopped in for breakfast to have their "Buenas Dias" breakfast Burrito that came with eggs, bacon, salsa fresca, cheese, and fries, but I opt for hash browns instead of fries for $10.65.
It's a casual eatery, and you order at the counter. The young lady at the counter was super sweet. At the counter, you will also find a great salsa bar.
The breakfast burrito was outstanding. The eggs were very well scrambled and seasoned. The bacon was very flavorful and offered a very good chew and bite. I loved the touch of salsa fresca in the burrito, and the hash browns were a very good choice. They used very good quality buttery flour tortillas. The burrito was of very good size and filling.
The place is very new and organized. They salsa bar is great. I liked the hot red sauce and the avocado salsa. They were delicious. The menu offers a lot of items from tacos, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, fries, tostadas, bowls, tortas, salads, combination plates, and...
Read moreI WAS a weekly customer here until they messed up my burrito. I called it to tell them about the error they made. Lady who answered the phone hung up on me. I called back. She gave the phone to one of the cooks. They were both having a hard time understanding the issue I was having. All I needed was a side avocado which they forgot to put in my burrito. The cook told me “let me speak to my manager” and just hangs up on me. I call back and they wont answer my calls. This was infuriating. All they had to was say sorry and to come and they’ll see what they can do to fix it. No paying customer should be treated like that. I had to leave work just to go back to this place and get a small cup of avocado. However I don’t trust the integrity of this place and threw the avocado in the trash along with my support...
