Dairy Queen — Restaurant in El Campo

The is the first time and the last time i will go to this location. Horrible. Went through the drive thru and I ordered the 4pc chicken strip meal. I got 3 small pieces (way under normal DQ proportions) of chicken and a small piece of breading without any chicken in it, which i assumed was the "4th piece". Barely any fries and the food was almost cold. I also waited nearly 15 minutes for my food which wouldnt be a big deal if the meal was satisfying. The teenagers working in there were standing around and talking more than working and i wasnt the only one waiting. I spent over $8 for a meal and walked away still hungry. Let’s get right into it. I come here for the awesome steak fingers and fries and gravy. It is always piping hot, and fresh. but lately they gave me old fries? and a small amount of fries with an 8 piece steak finger? (I order an extra large fry to make up for this but they must be fresh.) Toast is sometimes grilled sometimes not. The thing is I know the potential of this store, and this past time they knew they gave me old fries, and not the correct amount of steak fingers and when I told them, they said “so what do you want?” well that’s not the correct response.. first offer to remake the whole meal since things are different temps now. Offer the steak fingers I was shorted.. something, anything to show respect...

Went two nights in a row to get ice cream. Drove 30 minutes. Online the hours state they close at 11, we showed up at 10:30 and were told they were aware the hours online were wrong but they close at 10. Employees were extremely rude. We went back the next night for a second time to try again. We arrived at 9:30 and were told the ice cream machines turn off at 9 for maintenance. No apologies and rude employees again tonight. Apparently you can never get ice cream here! HORRIBLE experience and will NEVER be back. Hours should be updated and they should have a sign stating when their ice cream machine will be turned off “weekly for maintenance” since the employee stated this was at the same time every week....
