Starbucks — Restaurant in El Cerrito

👎🎆🎯🎆👎 This starbucks was very slow and they seemed to be more interested in talking with each other than the customer 👎. Plus while i was sitting out side in there patio where there tables where, the tables were very filthy and they seemed to not care about what wss going on outside the coffee shop because the grounds around the shop within the area where the customer sits was very,very dirty,? because i guess this "star bucks" does not train there employees properly as to how a shop needs to be opened and closed properly. I would only go back to this one Star bucks if thy had the very last cup of coffee ☕ on earth 🌎. #1. I got yelled at. #2. Was lieded to by the manager by all the unrealistic excuses she gave me for the stores poor,poor performance ? #3. Had to sit in the felth that was around the store and deal with the lethargic responses that i recived from the employees in the store ,which seemed to act like they didn't really give a care about the people that were in and around the store at all ?👎?👌?👎. If i as a customer had to rate this Star bucks and there improprieties to the customer i would half to give them a negative 0-9-0 all around. Please go at your own risk because i was made to feel very unimportant after the very first minute i decided to enter that place. A place know\no real human being should ever go. Drive thru experience was unacceptable this morning. I’m used to the line but Julio decided to make the car in front of me wait for awhile for their total, and that van pulled away from the speaker. When I pulled up to place my order Julio decided to repeat “caffe latte, oat milk, extra hot,” after every word I said. I asked why he was not allowing me to finish. He said he could hear me fine and their was no delay or overlapping through his head phones. I pulled around to the window, where Julio asked me, “are you alright this morning?” I said yes, I was just trying to figure out why you were talking while I was talking and not allowing me to speak my one item order. He said something about the headphones again and I said it has never happened before. Julio’s reply, “well there’s a first for everything.” “And a last for coming here,” was my reply. He closed the window and he and the women working with him begin to laugh as if I needed to be suspicious of my coffee. 8am is too early for shenanigans....

I visited this Starbucks branch mid afternoon on Saturday 8/23/25, and I was really surprised at the great service and the calm atmosphere.

I ordered the relatively exotic "Espresso Macchiato" which many baristas do not know how to make correctly. The barista asked me how I wanted it, and showed me how much foam she had already added; I got it exactly how I wanted that day. Some days I want a lot of foam, but I needed a good kick on that day, so took it with only a small amount.

Another thing I liked about this branch was that they were not playing loud music. I often get coffee when I'm working on a particularly hard problem because coffee seems to stimulate my creative abilities; my time at this Starbucks was much more productive than normal without obnoxiously loud music.
