The wife was in the mood for pupusas but since we hardly ever have them we weren't sure where to go. Googled search lead me to this place, had seen as for years as a burger joint but somewhere along the line they became a Salvadorian restaurant...
Place is nothing fancy, please keep that in mind. I thought the prices were a little expensive but then I saw the actual size of the pupusas, pretty good size. Ordered 2 revueltas and 2 de frijoles, damn good gotta say. My wife said they were in the salty side but perfect for me. She could barely finish one by herself. I read a prior review saying they were super greasy, I don't think they're anymore greasy than any typical pupusa. I mean, your ordering chicharron with cheese, it's gonna be a little greasy. Also ordered the empanadas de platano, I can only give them an ok...
My only gripe about the place was that a got a dirty look from the cook because I ordered a couple things ala carte which I guess was too much work for her, lol... I ordered 2 burger patties with cheese and grilled onions. Is that a lot to ask for?? They still sell burgers so it's nothing out of the ordinary...
One more thing, it did take a litter longer than expected for my order to be ready. Overall I would...

I came in with my aunt to place a to-go order for a family lunch. We were greeted right away, en español, so we ordered in Spanish. My aunt is fluent and my Spanish is passable, so we weren't exactly bumbling around. I watched the woman write down our order and noticed she misunderstood one type of papusa my aunt wanted, so I pointed it out. She sighed with her whole body (literally bent in half) and an eye roll as she crossed it out. I don't care what language you're serving in or if you're frustrated with customers (who are doing their best to order in their second language), but a sigh and eye roll like that is incredibly rude. On top of that, it took 42 minutes for our order to be cooked (the time was printed on the receipt, so it was easy to tell). The food was delicious, but we...
Read moreCame to visit my Mother in law that lives in El Monte... And before my husband I headed back home to Banning we seen that they sell Pupusas here. We decided to give it a try. We got off and ordered 3 pupusas. We got 1 revuelta, 1 beans with cheese and 1 spinach with cheese. The pupusas were super delicious!!! The price is great and you get a good size pupusa and very well stuffed. Very friendly staff. The wait time will be a bit more longer because they prepare their food fresh. I didn't mind the wait time because the food was so worth it. This will be our spot to come visit when we come...
