Tony Arceo Memorial Park — Attraction in El Monte

I want to commend you on the wonderful activities you have for the residents of this fine city. The Children's Day and Book Fair are extraordinary. Ms. Lisa del Real has done an excellent job in bring these activities to fruition. I hope you value her. Also the mayor is a wonderful example of how a city should be run. I talked to him at the Children's Day and he actually asked me for my opinions. I did mention to him that the Concerts in the Park leave a lot to be desired. There are fewer and fewer people coming because there are not enough good food vendors and the music is not very good anymore. A lot of people have commented on this and said they would not be back. How about having trios, more Mariachis and more Norteno Music. Also, how about a Farmer's Market, since we are all into being healthier. Have you thought of having a Winter Wonderland. I have gone to cities that have them and I noticed the kids enjoy them immensely, especially during the day on Saturday and Sunday. I know that budgets are tight but most state representatives would be glad to fund the. Thank you very much

Arceo park is named after a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. It is a cultural Hub in El Monte being that it is located amongst the Grace T. Black community center, Aquatics center El Monte High School, County Library, City Museum and La Historia museum. During the summer there will be music in the park on Wednesdays and some other events scheduled throughout the year. This is a well kept park with a playground. Arceo's has 2 locations in the Springs - both get 5 thumbs up from our Mexican food family of picky eaters. Excellent spot for lunch, very fast service and always friendly. A locals secret for sure. Prices are great as well, and the portions quite large, so much so that you will need a walk after you eat We have tried just about everything on the Menu - all the food is cooked perfectly and tasty.
