Came just before 9pm with a buddy. They close at 9:30pm. Cashier asked the Manager if it was okay if we could DINE IN for us but, he said No. No Problem, they want to go home on time. Although we would've cleaned up after ourselves, and tipped, I totally get it!!!! The restaurants interior is very 80's kitsch with Linoleum Flooring and Tables found at any dated Fast Food Restaurant. Novelas always on the screen. I didn't bother checking the Restrooms. Plenty of Parking. Staff is Friendly & Hardworking. Not the best neighborhood and lots of Homeless walking around outside with Mental Issues but, these Local Ethnic Hole-in-The-Walls usually have The Best Tasting Food!
So, we both Ordered the "Pollo Loco Special" which is a Half-Chicken of Rotisserie Chicken with Bread, Fries & Salad. I finished My Order with a Large ORANGE BANG! BOMB!!!
The other Long-Standing Hole-in-The-Wall Local Favorite location in Rosemead on San Gabriel Blvd and Graves Rd. finally shut it's doors last year. I guess they couldn't compete with the Wuhan Flu. Too Bad for all of us. That place was well known locally as the GO TO Spot for American Breakfast, Mexican Breakfast, Burgers, Sammies and their Pollo Loco.
So, I remembered coming to this El Monte Location during the Early 90's and thought I'd see if it had the Pollo Loco since it was a Long Standing Local Chain and ultimately, They Did!!! Juicy Delicious Rotisserie Chicken meat with Toasted Halved Bread, Small Green Salad and Perfect Fries👌👌
Now, My Buddy will become a Regular and he says it's REALLY GOOD and better than many Popular Westside Rotisserie Chicken Joints with More Bang For Your Buck!!!
I will always come back for more of their El Pollo...
Read moreso I’ve been going here my whole life. I went tonight and ordered two chickens salads. the lady repeated my order saying two chicken salads and a dollar burger I said yes. Keep in mind this was after she had already swiped my card. So I get home open my bag of food to see what’s inside and I find a chicken strip salad. When I called and asked what kind of chicken they used on there salad they said grilled chicken so I process to tell her that I ordered two salads and that the chicken was breaded and she said no it’s grilled chicken I told her no it’s breaded chicken and so she went and stated talking to people keep in mind I can hear there whole conversation and basically the lady that took my order confirmed if I wanted 2 CHICKEN SALADS no where in her confirmation did she say chicken tenders salad. And since her computer says chicken tenders salad then I’m not aloud to go exchange my food for the correct one. This place is BS. Who in the world buys a salad and still asks for them to deep fry...
Read moreFirst time I visited; I live nearby in El Monte near temple city quadrant and I never really noticed this place till today. They open early and I liked that- cause was super hungry and didn't want to cook before going to Church Sunday Morning service. Their service was polite, fast, place seemed clean and had nice surrounding-seems remodeled, has plenty of space to choose where to eat and tvs to enjoy morning breakfast. Was affordable what I expect priced for a delicious French toast and eggs and bacon breakfast meal and i had an orange juice came to $15.27. Full and satisfied and would come here again. Had other meals seemed delicious I'd like to try. I would recommend the bathrooms be little more helped-Floors being less sticky, smelling a little more fresh and trash be removed being so early 9:30am in morning, new work day, but amen, other that.... This is new place/jewel discovered to eat in El Monte for me to have delicious...
