I like the park and its size. The people who work here are very relaxed teenagers. Unfortunately, when problems arise, these are the same teens counted on to solve the problems. They sit in their little room till closing and don’t monitor the dog sections. Some rule breakers like those who insist on taking their untamed big dogs to the small section are allowed ro do so because no one is monitoring. I have seen big dogs attack small dogs many times because ignorant pet owners think rules don’t apply to them and they still take aggressive big dogs to the small section. Also, a couple of homeless hang out here and there with the occasional weed and vape smokers who come to the dog park to do this. Stopped by on a Saturday morning while I was visiting the area over the holiday. The entrance is kind of sketchy but once you get through the tunnel, you see a playground, some basketball courts and the dog park. There was no one else at the dog park when we arrived but my dog still had a good time running around the large dog enclosure.
They have two separate sections for large and small dogs which is a huge plus. 👍 The large dog park was really clean and well kept so we will definitely be back when we are in the area next time. We did however have an issue with another dog attacking my dog but I wouldn’t take a star off for that. No harm, no foul.
