Carlos & Mickey's — Restaurant in El Paso

Disappointed. WASN'T worth what we paid for. When we first walked in. When the hostess spoke to you ,she would TALK really low couldn't hear or understand her. We got seated . Some guy slammed chips and salsa down in front of us and walked away. Didn't know if it was the waiter or who he was. Never asked if we wanted anything to drink. Had to asked to be moved. Asked the same hostess if we can speak to the manager. He never came because she NEVER told him. He finally came and asked how everything was . The food was cold. I think the ONLY thing good was the margertia that I ordered and our 2nd waitress. the first one was rude as hell.The food was VERY disappointing. No flavor, the rice was bland, and the beans had tasted burnt. WASN'T worth the price.

I would of gotten better service and food from McDonald's than what we had. At least I know I would of had hot food from McDonald's even if it was put in microwave.

The sad thing is I was driving through El Paso to California and this was the worst food I have ever eaten it was SOOOO disgusting..I think it's just over rated. And the people there were just so rude. Especially our first Waiter. He needs to UNDERSTAND NOT Everyone speaks Spanish. We came from Alabama. He had asked the rudest question but really cocky... YOU DON'T SPEAK SPANISH? WHY NOT?

WHEN I TOLD HIM NO I DIDN'T KNOW SPANISH IM FROM THE SOUTH. He DIDN'T know I knew some Spanish and he actually CALLED our table stupid idiots in Spanish. And walked away. And we have NEVER EVER BEEN IN EL PASO BEFORE. showed how irrgogent and racist he really was. If I was his boss I would be embarrassed to have him work there. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY. I give it a -1 rating. Ramen noodles from Walmart would have been BETTER than the food we were served. Disappointed and disgusted with whole experience. DON'T eat there RUN AWAY OR DON'T EVEN WASTE 10¢. ITS NOT...

The food was fine, but the service was beyond horrendous. I was physically threatened by the waiter and have never in my life felt so disrespected while eating at a restaurant.

The whole time, he was kind of rude and condescending to us. He talked down to my friend and said no when she asked for an accommodation to her meal to make it vegan. Additionally, it took a long time for our food to come out even though virtually no one was in the restaurant. We were also never offered any drinks, so I pulled water out of my bag, took a sip, and forgot to put it back. The waiter came over, got very close to my face (about 3 inches away), touched my back, and scolded me like I was a child for leaving it on the table. I am a young woman, and he was an older man. He would have never spoken to a man this way, and he would have never spoken to me this way if a man was at the table with us. It was intentional intimidation because I am a small woman. I was stunned speechless by the aggressive and inappropriate nature of his behavior, as well as threatened by his invasion of my personal space.

If the management and staff find this kind of behavior appropriate, I would never recommend anyone eat there. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

As a side note, there are actually no vegan or vegetarian options at this location, contrary to what Google says. Not that I'd recommend eating here to anyone, but if you have those dietary needs, you won't be able to...

When we visited this restaurant, we had one, if not the worst, experience ever. We had a party of three. To begin with, we had to wait about 10 minutes for service which we let it slide. Follow that by another 15 to get our drinks. By then we were a little annoyed. That was followed by 30 min wait for the food. However, that’s not the worst… food came for only 2 persons and waiter mentioned they were backed up and I should get the third meal shortly. Well without a surprise, it took 20 more mins when I finally asked what happened. Waiter stated they forgot and that I would get my food for free. At this point, our whole party was over this place. 10 mins later, waiter approached with check and said they will not be making the third meal. I am not a confrontational person so I simply said it was horrible service and left. This by far was our worse dine experience. The worse 2 hours w spend at a place to eat.
