Motel 6 quality but for double the price.
The only thing good thing I can say about this hotel is its location to the airport. Staff is horrid. I stood in line for 20 minutes waiting to check in. When it was finally my turn, no pleasantries like, I apologize for the wait, thank you for your patience, instead, I was treated like a robot. Nothing warm, friendly or welcoming. No, hi, how are you this evening? No confirmation of the kind of bed I was getting, or was I good with a first floor room under the very noisy people upstairs, etc. It was, why are you giving me your i.d.? I don't need that because you prepaid (through the wyndham site), and you need to put your credit card in the machine over there - except, you weren't ready for me to put it in the machine for the next two minutes. As I was finally getting to the front of the three person line that went so slow, the manager steps up and takes the person standing in line behind me. Nothing more annoying than waiting a long time, someone gets in the line 1 minute before help arrives, and they take the person that just got in the line at the end rather than the person in front of you. I then go to grab a snack from the counter I looked at multiple time, making eye contract with the employee several times while standing in line. She closed at 9 pm. I walked about to her counter at 9:00:53. yes, 53 seconds late, "I'm closed, you need to go to the bar a block down that way to be helped." Ah come on, I stood in line for 20 minutes,. "what did you want?" just a candy bar, "like I said, you can go the the bar a block down that way." now why in the world did you ask me what I wanted if you were just going to say, 'still don't care'.
the room itself is a complete dump. there is one plug in in the entire room. One - and it's so far away from the bed they have an extension cord running from the outlet so you can actually plug in one device. The rooms are not sound proofed at all. The people above you walking is super loud. I wish you could upload an audio because it's crazy loud. The rooms have mold everywhere, some nasty booger stuff on the wall in multiple spots by the bed, the fixtures are very old and beat-up, and the bed is like a motel 6 bed, which would be fine if I paid motel 6 prices but I didn't (would have been $40 cheaper to stay at the Motel 6), and the shower is a Motel 6 shower. Again, nothing wrong with that ...if only I would have saved myself the money of expecting a nicer room given the reason I was in town.
After check-in, i get a message saying, if there's anything you need, let us know. Well, it would have been nice to have a 53 second grace period in getting a snack and a more welcoming check-in. Bot response .. go ahead, I bet you can guess. yes, it was, we apologize your experience didn't meet our usual standards, let us know if we can help you in any other way. Ok, now let's see how fake these messages are so I respond, well, it would be nice if you would have a personal response. answer: We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Let us know if there is anything else you need. Me: how about a personal response rather than a bot? answer: we are truly sorry...
Spend the extra money for the Marriot which is nearly as close, or if you are saving, go to the Motel 6 as it truly is the same quality and the staff...
Read moreI am a VERY dissatisfied customer who recently stayed at your hotel. I arrived in El Paso, and checked in to your hotel on Monday, 4th March. Upon arrival, your staff was very friendly and nice, thank you for that. But the rest of the stay unfortunately was not pleasant.
As soon as I walked into the hotel room, the room itself looked very very outdated. I felt like I was walking into a room from the 1980’s. I was extremely tired being jet lagged from an international flight, all I wanted to do was to unpack and go straight to sleep. But as I started to look around the room, I noticed that it was not clean at all. There was dust all around the edges of the room. Enough dust for it to be visible and could tell the difference within the carpet. There was dust all around the window, the bathroom floor also seemed dusty. When I went to plug in my phone charger, I noticed residue of sunflower seeds on the floor behind the night stand table. The lighting in the room was really bad, it’s a ground floor, so you don’t get much sunlight, the lights in the room were yellow. As I checked around, I noticed that the inside of the fridge was also not very clean. There was a coffee machine on top of the microwave, but no mugs to use for the coffee.
I was not aware of your housekeeping policy, where they come every third day. This information was not given to me upon check in, nor was it written anywhere in the room. So after the first day when I came back to the room, I noticed it was not cleaned. When I called guest services, they informed me of the policy and that was fine. But I did request for housekeeping services the following day. Needless to say, housekeeping did not arrive again even though I had requested their services. Very disappointing as I was only there for 3 nights and would have liked for housekeeping to have come at least once. When you stay at a hotel, you expect these services. The third night (Wednesday, 6th March) I tried to call guest services to inform them about housekeeping and to request more towels. The phone kept on ringing, no one answered. So I had to finally get out of my room to go to the reception desk for my requests. Again, this should not happen no matter how busy the hotel is. And from what I saw, the hotel was not busy at all.
Two out of the three nights I was there, upon arrival to my room, my room keys would not work. So again had to go to the main reception to get another room card. This is again very inconvenient, especially when you are coming back to your room after a long day. And one last complaint, the breakfast was not appetizing at all. The breakfast area was again so dark, not enough lighting and the selection was not good. Every morning I ended up having breakfast elsewhere, even though breakfast was included with my rate. To top everything off, the last morning I was there, there was hardly any hot water coming out of the shower! That’s absolutely the worst.
As for my stay, I will never stay at the Wyndham again!! I was not comfortable the entire time I...

My recent stay at the Wyndham Hotel situated within El Paso International Airport left much to be desired. Despite the convenience of its location, the overall experience fell short of expectations, primarily due to several notable issues.
First and foremost, the aging infrastructure of the hotel was evident from the moment of arrival. The initial room assigned to me presented a series of discomforts, including a dilapidated mattress that sagged uncomfortably and outdated amenities that lacked the standards of modern hospitality. Furthermore, the presence of visibly worn extension cords only added to the impression of neglect.
Regrettably, the need to switch rooms twice compounded the frustration of an already subpar experience. The second room, though an attempt at remedy, revealed a dysfunctional air conditioning unit that emitted disruptive noise, rendering a restful night's sleep an unattainable luxury. While the third room offered a slight improvement, it still failed to meet even basic standards, with a below-average mattress further detracting from the overall comfort expected of a reputable establishment.
Moreover, the shortcomings extended to the culinary offerings of the hotel. The breakfast provided, though touted as a complimentary amenity, failed to impress, with lukewarm dishes failing to stimulate the palate. This lackluster dining experience further contributed to the overall disappointment of the stay.
Despite these grievances, it is important to acknowledge the commendable efforts of the hotel staff. The employees exhibited a level of friendliness and professionalism that undoubtedly softened the blow of the numerous shortcomings encountered throughout my stay. Their dedication to customer service was commendable, and it is with reluctance that I must cast a shadow over their commendable efforts.
In conclusion, while the Wyndham Hotel at El Paso International Airport may boast convenience and a friendly staff, the aging infrastructure, substandard amenities, and disappointing dining options ultimately overshadow any redeeming qualities. As a result, I find it difficult to recommend this establishment to fellow travelers and, regrettably, intend to explore alternative accommodations...
