Initial post 5/4: Visited last night and was told I couldn’t wear a durag due to “dress code” and concerns about gang activity, meanwhile hats were allowed with no issue. When I questioned the policy, I was told it’s because “gangs wear durags.” That reasoning is not only weak, it’s a dog whistle. If someone’s in a gang, they’re not broadcasting it through a durag. This kind of policy targets Black men under the guise of safety, especially in a city like El Paso where we’re a minority. Rules like this don’t make anyone safer, they just reinforce harmful stereotypes. I expected better.

Update 5/7: The issue with your response to my complaint is that it's rooted in prejudice. Saying it’s about “broader security reasons” or wanting to “create a safer environment for everyone” makes it clear what you actually mean. That kind of language doesn’t remove bias but it does expose it. Singling out durags, which are part of Black culture, while allowing hats, is not about safety,it’s about stereotyping. You assume Black people in durags are gang members or violent, and that’s harmful. Mexicans wear cowboy hats, but do I fear them as banditos? No, because that would be a ridiculous and racist assumption. Yet that’s exactly the kind of logic you apply to Black people in durags. Your policy doesn’t create comfort or safety, it creates exclusion. I’d expect better from a West Texas, Mexican-owned strip club, a place that should understand what it feels like to be stereotyped. Don’t wanna taint the business with 1 star but honestly, y’alls logo looks like it was made on Microsoft word. Copy and paste the Mexican flag add text don’t change the font or color or text box color. But have the text box cover the Mexican eagle so now it’s an Italian looking flag with the text box in the middle. In my opinion And I’ve thought a lot about this, Should’ve called it Chicas con Chichis or something. Look idk

Great place tho. Never actually been. But...

Me and a friend thought we would check this place out one evening, since it recently opened. The hostess was nice but didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. The cover was expensive considering the fact there were like 5 girls working (at like 11pm). The ice was $12! I get there's gonna be an upcharge, but c'mon. When you BYOB, you should also BYOI, haha. Not being a jerk...there wasn't one girl in there that was beautiful, they had as much class as the 'Chicas Locas' sign. The worst part was the management. A manager took issue with us heckling the DJ (in fun), because he was screwing up the music (it would abruptly stop). Get this, he said, 'what do you do for a living?', i guess this was his tough-guy talk, haha. He didn't want to give his name, but he has a tattoo of a cross behind his left ear. We left....
