PLEASE READ!!!:

Horrible customer service interactions and ability to understand an order in English!!!!

The food is great, but the service will make a person NOT ever want to revisit this location.

The woman at the register, late 40's to early 50's, that only speaks Spanish, and coincidentally has no name on her shirt to identify who she is, is the rudest and most seemingly entitled person working at the register. She should be put elsewhere, where there are NO customer interactions.

Here are a few points that I have personally experienced with this employee: Doesn't understand English Rude to customers upon interactions Rushes to input an order without understanding what the customer wants Rolls her eyes at me as if I am bothering her by making an order Smearks as she walks away from me as if she is upset Inputs the wrong order and tries to blame the customer Talking to the kitchen staff about the wrong order, saying it was the customers fault "Hello, there are cameras, so please review her interactions with customers" Speaking disrespectful about customers in Spanish, under her breath, as if she is not being recorded or heard

This visit was today, 6/26/2024, and I have had many visits here before because I love the food, just not the service. Every time I enter this establishment, I hope that she is NOT working that day, so I don't have to go through another horrible experience. This woman should be reviewed by the cameras to observe her demeanor and interactions with customers.

Kudos to the younger woman who works there at the register. She is amazing and has always been a very professional employee.

I do love the food here and have made too many visits to count, but the continued disrespectful and unnecessary conduct from this employee MUST be stopped before she causes a loss of loyal customers. Read other comments about interactions with this employee. There are many, and she still seems to continue to act the same way with...

Have you ever been to you your favorite restaurant, the one that's a little bit out of your way, but your looking forward to tasting those special fries or the tasty burger? You get home and one of your items is missing. You get a little depressed and your order just doesn't taste that good anymore.Well, I had a similar experience at El Prado Bakery. My wife made some menudo for a family gathering so I decided to drive a little further to El Prado to get some of their delicious menudo bread. I ordered two dozen so everyone would have plenty to share. After I placed my order the bag seemed a little light so I asked my cashier if both dozen were there. She assured me they were so I drove home. I got home and starting preparing the bread with butter and cheese to get that extra flavor when baked. To my surprise I only received one dozen. I was disappointed to say the least so I called. They said "oh, just come back." No big deal.I drove back. Everyone makes mistakes. When I arrived the cashier that attended me was laughing as I walked in. She saw me and asked if she could help me. I started with my story and a fellow cashier stated she would get my order. She prepared it and gave it to me. She didn't mention she was sorry, didn't look upset at the issue, didn't speak a word. I stood there and looked at them and left. This was a little frustrating to me since it takes me a little extra effort to walk. I use a walker for assistance. I drove back home and remember thinking to myself, where has all the customer service gone? I guess they don't need to display it. I will be doing my shopping with another bakery...

I'll start with the positive before I get into the negative of this place. The establishment was very clean and the gentleman was as helpful as he could be. So went into the bakery first time (last time after this incident) with the intention of buy my baby a cookie and my friends and family some sweets, I asked a young extremely rude young lady the prices and she rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell me the price as it bothered her. I thought to myself maybe she's having a bad day ill give it to her life's been rough lately..... There was a young man working with her who saw and noticed the attitude so then I asked him for help and sadly he didn't know the price and had to ask the young lady and she threw the dounut tray on the counter with attitude and rolled her eyes and told me the price. I know it seems minor and petty that I make such a big deal but whatever happened to customer service, greet your potential clients with a smile and ask how may I help you, simple common etiquette. El Prado lost a customer today may not be a big deal but I will let everyone I know and work with this young lady has horrible customer service. So sad I was really looking forward...

This place has delicious food all around. Delicious burritos, tamales, menudo, posole and more. It's been around for a long time and I can see why after today's visit. I don't go more often since I'm usually not up early enough to avoid the long line. Bring your patience, I was there by 8am (Sunday)and it still took about 30minutes beginning to end. I must say worth the wait. Huevo con chorizo burrito was great, tried thir new arriero burrito (beans, chicharron, pork.meat, green chile)delicious but needed more meat in my opinion. The red tamales get 5 stars for sure, perfectly filled, not too greasy, hot and freshly made. The sweet bread (pan dulce) was fantastic too. Nothing like freshly made conchas! Their pam dulce bread is a bit more expensive compared to other panaderias (bakeries)around the area and the prices are not posted for the bread so be ready to pay about $15 or more for the dozen. I should have asked for the prices and I didnt take the receipt but I'm pretty sure most pieces of bread were about $1 or more a piece. Give them a visit I know I will, again.

They say the bread and menudo is great. I cannot vouch for this. I ordered a pound and a half of barbacoa. Meaning a special (a pound of barbacoa that came with red salsas, cilantro and onion and 2 bolillo bread) plus I ordered another half a pound since it was for 6 people to eat. Everything looked great until everyone began eating eat...somebody literally dropped the salt. All you could taste was salt. I won't be going back for barbacoa there for sure. Place looks great, everyone ordering menudo and sweet bread left and right but don't order the barbacoa. And this is my first negative review ever so it must count for something. At least on the barbacoa believe me. I never like negative reviews so I will be going back next Sunday to order once more to see if it was not just a mishap that occured today with someone dropping a large bag of salt in the barbacoa.

Top 3 best Mexican Bakeries I have ever been to. Traditional mexican sweet bread and the most fresh and light Pan Blanco ever. All in a very clean and modern building. Super nice and helpful staff. Plus they have burritos! Yes actual burritos, not tacos for those used to Tex-Mex. Made with fresh in house made flour tortillas. Try the Barbacoa, Chile Relleno, or Chicharonne burrito. For sweet bread I recommend Pumpkin empanadas or any donut and espnoja/concha. If you pay cash you wont get charged the credit debit service fee of 4% so be prepared. They also have tamales pretty much year round. A cute little covered patio also for when that becomes an option again. 10 out of 10 do recommend.
