El Taquero Comer — Restaurant in El Paso

Walked in and immediately was greeted by smoke from the kitchen and the smell of boiling meat water. Waiting wasn't too long to order our food, and it took longer to order than it did for the food to be brought out. Which tells you how fresh the food is.

The Asada, deshebrada, and barbacoa all taste exactly the same, like the worst parts of the animal after being boiled for 4 days. Tortillas were dry and flaking apart while the tacos were simultaneously dripping in grease and water. The main ingredient in the beans must have been salt rather than beans and the rice just tasted like the boiled meat water.

The queso was decent and was the only way I could eat any of the food at all, although the chips were at least 3 days stale based on the tooth breaking crunch they had. Ultimately left most of the food on the plate and accepted I wasted my money here.

Dr. Pepper was good, although the ice melted within about 15 minutes. It was extremely hot inside, as if running the A/C was a crime or something. Which created a perfect atmosphere for flies and gnats to be everywhere. Which if they were in the dining area they were for sure in the kitchen as well. To their credit, the workers were staying on top of cleaning tables as soon as people left to ensure the place appeared fairly clean.

Realized after we left that this restaurant used to be a food truck. It should've remained a food truck. Looking forward to see what replaces this place...

It was my first time coming here today. I ordered take out for myself and my family. My husband, my mom, myself and 4 kids (2 of them are ages 3 and 1). There's a taco special for $8.60 which comes with 3 tacos and beans and rice. The other tacos they sell as just the taco of your choice for a little over $2 each. I ordered 5 taco specials (1 tripa 2 asada and 2 pastor) it was more than enough food for all of us and it was DELICIOUS. I also ordered a large horchata and for my mom a small limonada and everything totaled to about $61.XX. The tacos come with 3 tacos but there's 2 tortillas for each and a lot of meat where you can easily split it up to 6 tacos! The price for the taco special is not bad. They give a pretty big portion of meat, beans and rice. There's a salsa bar with 4 different types of salsa, Pico de gallo, chopped cucumber, chopped radish, and limes that you can help yourself to. I really appreciated the fact they had the little to-go cups to pack your salsa and little baggies for the veggies and also little bags to carry every thing in. The entire set up was convenient and nice. I found a new favorite taco place! The food is amazing. The customer service is fast and efficient. The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and very clean. Id recommend this spot to anyone I know who wants...

Tried El Taquero Comer for the first time this past week and was pleasantly surprised with their food and service! I was craving a burrito and wanted to try their establishment but unfortunately DoorDash was showing they could not deliver until 4pm. I called in to double check the time since google showed their shop was currently open so I thought that’s when they started accepting delivery orders. The man I spoke with in the phone was very friendly when I told him I was trying to order through door dash, he actually said he would open it up on their end to accept orders! I was so surprised he was kind enough to do that.

Half hour later I was able to place my order for delivery. I was happy to be able to try their food because everything looked so good in the photos I saw.

I ordered the supreme burrito and asada fries. My husband got their quesadilla. Honestly everything was so delicious! I had been looking for a good Mexican establishment in the area with good, filling burritos. Well I found exactly what I was looking for with El Taquero Comer!

I highly recommend them if you’re craving a good burrito and asada fries! Their serving portions are good for sharing too. Or enough for maybe two meals.
