Fast Lane — Restaurant in El Paso

I tried the rolled tacos and a burger meal. The rolled tacos are fantastic. If you're in East Central / Cielo Vista and don't want to make the drive to Chico's, this is a perfectly acceptable substitute. The only downside is that they don't serve them with any green salsa. The single patty burger is surprisingly decent for $.99. The patty is actually thick and isn't flavorless, although it is a bit on the dry side. The fries were the only bad thing about the food. They are served in the ghetto-est way I've ever seen fries served. I think they wrap a handful of fries in each paper packet and stick them in the warmer. They're obviously hand-cut, but limp, greasy, and lukewarm. Even the dog won't eat them. The sundae that comes with the $3.99 burger meal is a cute little treat. It's some kind of vanilla soft serv with a sauce. I was surprised that the strawberry sauce was made with real strawberries. All in all, I'll definitely be back (especially since this place is open until 10!); l'll just make sure not to order the fries.

Other comments and things to know: Drive through employees were polite and helpful. I waited less than 10 minutes in the drive though. This was around noon on a Sunday. There's a 30 cent charge to use credit/debit cards. If you dine in, drink refills...

I've always loved fast lane and would always say it was better than chicos. Even with the regularly messing up my order by not giving me the extra salsa i ordered or the wrong drink. My fav, With the beef and papa rolled tacos, semi spicy sauce to dunk them in, and the salsa to add on top. Price was always fair for what you were getting. You don't come here expecting 5 star restaurant standards, but it's a place to hang a chill enjoy good cheap food. Look I'd pay $10 for a 6 rolled taco combo if you want, raise your prices idc. But don't change the taste or the quality of the food! It was more papa than beef if there was any beef, the sauce no flavor, the salsa is now some tomato salsa that doesn't really taste of anything. So my bowl of full of soggy rolled tacos of papa and juice and chesse. Idk. I understand inflation is messing with all of us. But damn cutting to many corners here i think. Anyways I'll give it another shot this year see if anything changes for the better but after so many years of coming here, I was finally...

They took about 25 minutes to bring my order out consisting of a double meat burger combo and a 12oz can of Shasta. The burger which came with only two pickles in it, and only mustard. No lettuce or tomatoes. The fries were HELLA burnt. One chicken sandwich which has two pickles and a glob of mayo where the buns were way bigger than the chicken breast itself. A chili cheese hot dog with super dry chili like it's been sitting there for over an hour without being mixed, which they charge me extra for cheese yet there was no cheese at all on it all thrown in a paper bag not even wrapped. Then three rolled tacos; tasted gross. I don't know what that was but it wasn't ground beef. Probably rat meat or missing children. As a sou chef with many years of cooking experience, running errands at a new job, and wanted something quick and never tried. This place sucked. And the poor girl bringing in loads of groceries with no help from other employees looked miserable. Give her a raise. Never again. I should have taken...
