This skatepark is in my opinion the second best park in El Paso. It has obstacles for all levels of skating from beginner to pro and everything in between. The skatepark seems to always be clean and free from debris minus the occasional chip bag or water bottle but for the most part almost everyone seems to help in keeping it cleaned up. Can get a bit hectic when it gets crowded but if you can be a little patient people usually don’t mind letting everyone get their turn to skate. The main reason for the missing fifth star is because of the hazardous instant blackout at 10:00pm sharp. If you are skating around that time you better be mindful of it. I had to learn the hard way and just about broke a leg when the lights shut off just as I jumped off the edge to drop in and I had it go completely dark. I think it would be wise to maybe have a warning buzzer or maybe dim the lights for a couple of minutes prior to shutoff. Cause I can only imagine that many of people have fallen victim to the sudden blackout every night.
